She had rested for the night and then moved on. Spirit of the Wind traveled over mountain and through valleys until she came to a peaceful spot. Lots of other mare had gathered here and she felt quite at home. Looking around she found a quite spot to graze near a river. Spirit of the Wind was glad for the rest from her long journey and soon enough laid down for a nap. -------------------------2 hours later---------------- Opening her eyes Spirit of the Wind found that it was night out. She gazed up at the stars. What a beautiful night. she thought. So many stars. Spirit of the Wind picked the brightest star in the sky. She whispered Evan, dear boy, this star is for you. She gazed at the stars all night wishing her boy was with her.

The stag galloped swiftly into the clearing and paused a moment, to observe the surroundings. There were many mares, but one caught his eye. She was apart from the others and had a unique vagrance around. Her stare upon the stars was heart stopping, and her heart seemed to beat intensly. Curiosity doused the stag and he changed gait to a smooth canter....
His blue banners flew lightly, and his painted form was clear in the twilight of night. He came to an abrupt halt before the mare and he collected himself swiftly before letting the words fly free into the hearing Greetings M'lady. I am dubbed Illusion. I apologize for coming so abruptly, and without clear notice But my great curiosity drew me here... his words were gentle and kind, and his daggers sunk into the moist, fertile earth as he stood...
He shook his head lightly, and removed his forlock from covering his sight slightly to reveal intensely piercing blue orbs, that shone with a clearly dear understanding of life...

She quickly averted her gaze from the stars to the horse that had stopped in front of her. She noticed it was a stag and started to blush. Spirit of the Wind had never been very good around stallions and often stumbled over her words. when he asked her calling she just stood there for a moment as if stunned. She blinked realizing what she did and answered My Calling is Spirit of the Wind, Most horses call me Windy though Illusion. You may do the same if you wish. She was amazed at how clearly she had gotten the words out!

...Spirit of the Wind...It's a very unique name... he thought and focused his bright blue orbs back on her as the gentle words came That is a uniquely beautiful name. It is most certianly fitting... A warm smile formed upon his maw, and his orbs shone with truth...
Illusion's blue roan pelt shone in the twilighted moon overhaed, and his piercing blue orbs gleamed softly. He raised his head slightly as he spoke Well Windy, Why is it you come to the lands of Arrowhead Mountians? He stood silently, and his daggers sunk into the moist earth below as he waited for her response....

She frowned slightly. She was remembering her boy. It really is a long story so I'll try to shorten it for you. I had been captured once and sold at auction. A young family of five took me home to a, well I wouldn't say lovely but nice stable. The little girls of the family all wanted to touch me. I tried to behave and not hurt them for they were only but human foals in fact. Soon though a boy of 15 saved me and came over. He didn't talk but his eyes showed everything he wanted to say. I was only two at the time and very green. Although the boy knew this he saddle me and bridled me. I didn't protest because I some how knew I could trust him. He took me to a fenced in area and got on my back. From then on I completely trusted him. Even though he "tamed" me though I would never let anyone else ride me. One day my boy did not return and it...it hurt so so much. I whinnied every day but he never came. No one fed me any more either so I escaped and just ran and ran until I came here. She gasped and a tear fell from her eye. Evan. She missed him so much. She looked back up at the sky and said as if talking to Evan himself I miss You.

I understand what it is like to lose something you hold dearly. And I believe that if he had the choice, he would've stayed with you. I would not dwell on reasons Windy...I would let go the bad memories, and just hold dear to you the thought that Evan certianly loved you as well.... Illusion's blue orbs shone gently, and his words were soft. His blue banners wavered gently and his painted bodice was clear in the twilight. His orbs gazed deeply into hers as he said softly, Trust yourself. Let go of the memories slightly, just so they stay only like a dream. Faded back. And live in the present, always looking forward. But never forget your past completely. For if you do, you will not know where to turn, and you will forget who you are. keep your memories close, but don't let them control your life. That is your job, not the memories. And if that is accomplished, then you will always know who you are. because no matter how hard you try to put away memories completely, you will never suceed. For the memories will always tell who you were and still are in heart, Just let them write your history, as you write your future... his bright blue orbs shone gently as he waited for her response...

His words had a deep meaning to her. She immediately started to calm down a little and realized that what is in the past is only directions. If She looked to her past she would repeat it. She shuddered a little thinking of that. I don't want to repeat my past Illusion, Thank you for teaching me that. After the weight of Evan had been lifted from her shoulders she felt happy almost giddy! It amused her that she had not thought of it this way before. I am standing here in front of a stag and telling him of my past. She thought. She almost laughed. That would be rude though so she caught her self.

Illusion breathed a slight sigh of relief, he was glad she understood his words, and that she knew what to do in her future. As His gentle words left his maw his piercing blue orbs shone brightly So I suspect that you come to these lands to chance at a new life? His blue banners flew gently and his orbs wandered slightly to the stars as he waited for her reply...

No no I would not like a new life all together. I mean who wants to be a two year old twice! A change yes, I would love to change my life. She laughed as the words left her maw. Such a bad joke she had made when he was trying to be serious. It was just she now could be fun and take things a little less serious with one less thing to worry about. She decided to apologize and make a formal answer. I'm very sorry about the bad joke when you where being so serious. I beg for your forgiveness. But yes I would like a new life.

A smile formed across Illusion's maw. As he replied warmly There is absoloutly nothing to forgive! And, it was not a bad joke, laughing is a good way to express your feelings, and reflections... His bright blue orbs shone gently as he spoke Since you would like a change to your life, I wonder if you would honor me by joining me in my terra; The Magic Mountians. If It is too much to ask, please say so and I greatly apologize... His blue banners waverd gently as he waited for her reply...

She was a little taken aback by his offer. Wow, to be part of a herd again. I couldn't dream of any better. Of course I will Illusion! Thank You so Much! Spirit of the wind flashed her Dun coat just for fun and waited for him to show her the way to his Terra.

Illusion nodded, and a smile spread across his maw, at her response. He flashed his piercing blue orbs happily as he said gently Right this way then... He turned his painted body, and his blue banners wavered softly as he changed gait for a smooth canter, and swiftly looked behind him to make sure Windy was following...
