The 4-year-old paint mare sighed. She had been wandering for a day now. Bendant was tired, but luckily for her, she had gotten tired in the perfect place. The mare nickered quietly to herself, wondering if a stallion would be kind enough to take her into his home. She could certainly see why she would not be wanted, after all; Bendant wasn't really the smartest of mares. She was a bit clumsy, but for what she lacked in balance and poise, the mare made up for in kindness, and love.

Daggers digging to earth the stag cantered smoothly into the claiming lands. He raised his crown, as he paused a moment, to look around. His shining orb was suddenly caught on a painted fae. She was beautiful, and had an immensely kind look upon her. Although she also looked tired, as if she had been through something, but at the same time she looked extremely kind...Something that should be treasured as a great gift.... either way, His curiosity was roused and he changed lead to head in that direction...
His blue banners wavered gently, and his painted pelt gleamed as he approached the fae. He came to an abrupt halt before her and felt a warm smile form upon his maw as the kind lyrics left his maw Greetings, I am dubbed Illusion. May I have the vast pleasure upon hearing the sweet lyrics of your calling? He shook his crown slightly which removed his forelock from his sight, to reveal piercing blue orbs shining warmly, with curiosity. She drew his curiosity greatly, for she was...different from others. There was something about her...Something stronger then what lies on the outside. There was a sort of curiously amazing feeling that was vibrated through her presense. She was an extraordinary unique mare, and she held more then what it seemed at first glance...Much more... His painted blue roan pelt shone out from the glaring sun, as he waited patiantly for the fae's reply...

Fathomless brown orbs scanned the lands for signs of life and caught hold of two horses standing alone together, a young-looking painted fae and a large painted stag. There was something about the fae which drew him towards her, even though she seemed to be already speaking to a stallion. She was good-looking, but that was not why she enchanted him. No... from her expression he could see that she had been through a lot, and something told him that she was special. Picking up a gentle jog, he trotted down the hill. About fifty feet from the mare, he slowed to a walk, as not to startle her or put her under pressure.
He halted before the mare, and gave a polite nod to the painted stallion who stood beside him. Looking upon the mare, his heart gave a thud, because in close vision, he saw something he had not seen before. Kindness. It was an aura about her, something that his heart was pulled into. His maw formed a sweet smile, the sort of smile which very rarely appeared on his face. Greetings. My name is Golden Blaze, but most here call me Blaze. May I have the honor of knowing yours? The warm lyrics fell from his maw with slight hesitation, he was never sure how to act around mares he liked. He felt a pang of jealousy as he looked at the other stallion, who seemed to know exactly how to act.

Bendant glanced through the snow that was slowly beginning to fall. She could see two stallions approaching. When they arrived, she nodded her sleek dial in greeting. Speaking to both of them she said, "My name is Bendant. It is a pleasure to meet you both." Smiling warmly, she glanced at Illusion and Blaze. They were both handsome stags. She would feel so fortunate to be in the presence of either one of them.

Blaze nodded as she spoke her name. Bendant. It was an unusual name, but something told him this was an unusual mare. And maybe she wasn't as beautiful as some mares he'd seen, but the silvery snow dotting her patched pelt was almost certainly beguiling, if not quite gorgeous. But as Blaze had learned through the years, it was not beauty that mattered so much as what lay in one's heart. He didn't know, yet, what was hidden behind Bendant's eyes, but he sensed it was something good. Thank you. It is on a rare occasion that I meet a mare so warm and polite as yourself. It was true. Most mares he'd met lately were snappy and liked to play hard-to-get. He liked mares with spirit, he would allow that, but spirit didn't necessarily mean snapping at stallions and acting like she'd the best thing to ever set foot on this earth. Sometimes spirit was kindness, making everyone around you happy even if you hardly knew them. That was definetly the kind of spirit Bendant seemed to have.

She smiled. He was indeed a gentleman. Bendant approached him and said, "Thank you, sir." His comment was uplifting and joyous. The mare snorted and tossed her tail; sending pesky flies into the air, off her back. Bendant had an innocent glow in her eyes...she might have been 4-years-old, but she didn't really know much about the world. And strangely, Bendant wasn't too interested in learning it. She was happy with living her life and living it to the fullest.
