Blood Rose trotted into the lands seeing mares and stallions both everywhere. Her head was held high with pride, her horns pricked forward as her talons pierced the snowy terrain. She was a little over two now but her body had filled out nicely. She would continue to grow still though for another year and then she would be at her full height. She left her herd as a yearling with her twin brother, already her muscles rippled under her blood red coat for she had to be able to outrun predators and fight them off if needed. She had scares from running into the cats but now she was here to see if someone would claim her. The filly had a confuzed heart, she would have turned out just like her mother if she hadn't been influenced by her twin brother who had nothing but hatred in his heart. Now she wanted to be the sweet mare that her mother was but she faught constantly with her heart and she needed someone that would be able to understand her and know that she is trying to be nice and not mean like her brother. The red chestnut mare moved to the water taking a sip and then moving through the snow. Her arabian lines showing through with her dished head and her tail up in the air. She let out a whinney calling for stallions, perhaps one would be the one she was looking for.

The golden stag appeared out of nowhere, prancing through the snow, silver flecks adorning his usually midnight black tresses. A shrill whinny reached his ears, twisting around them and through his heart, piercing to his deepest memories. Gliding to a stop, he sniffed the air.
There was nothing, except the scent of a mare. If that was her whinny... perhaps she was as piercingly familiar and sweet as her whinny? Right now, he needed nothing but true love, and if this mare could offer it, it was worth finding her. He picked up his pace, and soon found himself face to face with a mare who seemed to from his dreams.
She was a beautiful red chestnut vixen, with blazing eyes. Blaze sensed she had known trouble in her few years of life, just as he himself had suffered. Smiling at the mare through the white specks cascading through the sky, he spoke one word, his voice soft and gentle.
Hello.

Blood Rose stood around in the grounds her stance defensive for she was surrounded by unfamiliar horses and most were stallions in the land. All seemed preoccupied except for one. A golden stag that seemed to have his orbs on her. Her small hooves seemed to dance in the snow for she was uneasy but yet she was calm inside for she could probably out run most of the brutes here. Her blazing orbs seemed to be watching all the stallions as she decided she would take on them all but when the golden stud came to her and spoke, her blaze seemed to die. Her gaze met his and yet she didn't want to fight, he soothed her blazing heart, not even her mother had been able to do that. Hello Her word was calm and actually sweet towards the stallion. Something about him soothed her aching heart and she didn't want to be cruel. Would he understand her past though?

Her voice was gentle and sweet, and he was drawn to it like children are drawn to the dancing light of a firefly. It was mysterious and melodic, like a song from the past, a song from the deepest reaches of his heart. Yes, if she loved him back, this mare was the one for him.
My name is Golden Blaze, but most call me Blaze. May I have the honor of knowing your name?
Gazing into her deep, fiery pools he felt his heart stronger than ever. He was drawn to her, drawn to her in some inexplicable manner, and she made him forget all the troubles of his past, a healing stream of water trickling over his bloody, raw wounds.

Rose felt paralized she couldn't run if she wanted to, she was stuck. Her horns pricked forward as they took in his soft words but yet she wasn't able to manage a word at the moment. His dark pools seemed to look straight into her heart and she just couldn't take her eyes off of him. I was named Blood Rose, but everyone calls me Rose. Her words seemed softer and she felt like she did when she was just a foal with her mother. Her brother not fighting with her and making her heart choose from what she wanted to be and being mean to everything and everyone. She could be herself with the stallion but what if Renaissance returned. The thought of her brother shot into her head, her orbs filled with fright and furry. She didn't wish to bring it upon this stallion, she couldn't go with anyone or she would be putting them in danger as well.
Her horns pivoted as if she could sense him here already but he wasn't. He was no where to be seen just an image in her head, for now.

Blood Rose.. an interesting name masking a dark past, it seemed. Rose, yes, that was a fitting name, he would call her Rose. As he gazed into her orbs, he realized that there was something else there... something besides the blazing flame. Fear, was it? Terror, even? What dark past lurked behind those stunning pools? Whatever it was, he resolved to let her past alone unless she brought it up herself.
Okay, Rose.He replied gently, nickering.

She was stronger then her brother when she left but he was out on his own now too and she had no idea what he was capable of now. She worried but the thought that he was on his own ment that he wouldn't have company and she could take care of herself. The fear in her firey orbs soon passed and she looked back to the golden stallion, Nice to meet you Blaze The name Golden Blaze fit his color but Blaze had to fit somewhere else. Perhaps his past was as fiery as hers and they both just needed someone to familiarize with to let it go. For one in the last year a smirk crossed her maw, she was happy and she had Blaze to thank for it.

Blaze smiled, looking at the mare with a mixture of love and hope. He had never met a mare he liked nearly as much as this beautiful vixen. but as he gazed into her eyes, he saw something else there, something fearful.
Rose... you know if there's anything... ever that tries to hurt you, I'd die to stop it.

Rose was kinda shocked at the stallions words, he hardly knew her. He didn't know what she had done in her past, that made her so horrible. Me and my brother got into a fight before we left the terra and he swore he would find me again. She paused wondering if she would go farther, she had been the one to leave a scare on her own mother. She wouldn't go farther for now, perhaps if he gave her more time she would open her past to him but not now.

Diablo watched carefully. He trotted down and bowed delicately to the mare. He marveled at her coat and how it glowed. "Greetings," he said. "I am Diablo."

Blaze barely noticed as the other stag arrived; he had eyes only for Rose. That was so terrible... he knew what it was like to be torn between your sibling and your love, but to have your brother turn on you, threaten you? He nudged her gently before speaking, his voice gentle, but strong.
That's terrible. But like I said, If he does find you... I'll protect you.
He paused, thinking. It was only fair if he told her his past in return. He lowered his voice so that only she could hear him.
When I was a colt... my father abused his herd. My sister planned an escape, but I couldn't leave the mare I loved. Finally, my love was killed. I escaped with my sister. That was five years ago.

Diablo listened to the stallion. He nodded self consciously to the story. Then he snapped away. "My lady, what be your name?" he asked gently. His ears pricked for wards as the listened cautiously.

Blood Rose looked as a new stallion made himself present, she nodded her dial towards the stallion as he spoke his name. She then listened to Blaze, he had already loved once, was he ready to try and love again? She didn't want to show fear of her brother, she was stronger then him but she was affraid that perhaps he was stronger now. She looked back to the new stallion, Diablo, and had almost forgot what manners her mother was able to teach her, Im sorry, its Blood Rose. Its nice to meet you Diablo.

Diablo nodded, noticing the name fit her well. "Greetings Blood Rose, it is nice to see you," he said. He noticed the mare hd an interest into the other stallions, and he respected it. He thought mares should choose their own stallions, but there are others who don't.

Both stallions seemed nice but she had already begun to open to Blaze, she would have got to know both but she already had feelings for Blaze and she wasn't going to lead Diablo on and then just go off with Blaze. But she really didn't know if Blaze even wanted her.

DIablo noticed how Blood Rose was more interested in Blaze. He didn't want to cause a fight, so he bowed his head and trotted away.
((Sorry, no muse))

Blaze watched silent, as the other stallion conversed with Rose and then left wordlessly. Curious as why he had left so suddenly, Blaze turned again to Blood Rose.
Rose...
He began. He had no idea how to actually say this, even though it had been running through his mind ever since he'd first spoken to the blood red vixen.
You're the first mare I can really relate to. The first mare who I can share with and not feel awkward. Rose, I think I love you....
He paused, move towards her, and gazed into his eyes. He thought of Serene, the mare he'd loved and lost. Blood Rose was so different from shy, sweet Serene, but with a pang of guilt to his dead lover, Blaze realized he loved Rose more than he'd ever dreamed of loving Serene.
Would you like to come to my land? The grassy plains?
He finished in a rush, his words tumbling over one another. He'd been so comfortable with her until this last, critical moment. What if she didn't want to go? What if he sounded like a complete idiot to her? What if... what if she had liked Diablo more?

The blood red fae watched as Diablo left, though he would of had just as much of a chance as Blaze if she had met them together. But she had already gotten to know Blaze and with that small connection she didn't feel the need to have to try and learn about another to make a decision in the end. And then Blaze began to speek again, her name, but he seemed unsure really how to speak what was on his mind. Yes Her voice soft with a questioning tone to it. She knew he had to say something and she gazed back into his gorgeous pools as he looked into hers. Finally he spoke again and the words he spoke showed that he could actually be himself around her but at the end she was somewhat shocked. He had said the words it usually took others years too say and here they were to her. Rose really didn't know what to say, it had caught her off guard but still she had the same feelings and couldn't run from them. Before she could figure out what to say in return he continued and the words would give her a home. The blood colored mare had come here in search of a home, protection from the elements and here she stood finding much more then that. She had found a home, protection, and love. She could see that the last words made the stallion uneasy but she didn't worry too much about what was on his mind for she wouldn't refuse. Ever since I was a yearling and I ran away from home my heart has been like a fire. Who ever I ran into I looked at with disgust and constantly wanted to fight no matter who it was. But when I saw you it was like my fire had burned out. She paused for a moment, her raging fire was put out but she had enough spark in her that she wasn't just another mare. She was strong minded and physically as well but she didn't want to be like that with Blaze. He calmed her and she couldn't see herself going with anyone else. I don't want to fight with everyone anymore and I feel like I can talk to you about anything. I love you too Blaze. There was the words and as she said them it was like her heart jumped as she had actually said how she felt. Her daggers pranced a little bit in the snow as she was excited. It almost felt like a dream for she never imagined a stallion would calm her like he had. And yes, I will go to the grassy plains with you. She had left his question hanging for a bit though there was debate in her head whether she would go or not for she was only hoping he would ask. After her answer she took in a deep breath relaxing a bit and then rubbing her muzzle on his neck a bit. She would always be by his side and if it changed she would never be the same again.

So. This. Is. What. Love. Is. Like.
Blaze felt as if his heart were expanding. He stared into Rose's gorgeous, blazing eyes and felt himself falling in... falling love. Now words could possibly express what he was thinking... How could she know that that was just how it had been for him? His father had started a fire in him, a blazing, hot, burning fire. And when he'd met Rose... that fire had gone out and a new spark had begun. This fire however, was warmer, sweeter, and more powerful... in a good sort of way.
Oh Rose... how could you know that's just how I feel? Somehow, I think we're connected... meant for each other somehow.
He didn't know why he said that last bit, about being connected, but it had been bouncing around in his mind since she told her story and it just tumbled out of his mouth. He moved over to her side and nuzzled her blood red pelt. They were so close, side by side, as if they were stuck together by a substance stronger than anything Blaze had ever encountered. If this was what love was like, Blaze never wanted it to end.
Gazing into the distance, breathing in Rose's sweet smell, he realized that this fiery young vix would be an ideal lead.
Rose, would you like to be my lead?
He whispered.

Rose jumped around like a filly inside but kept still on the outside. They say that passion was like a fire in you and she could feel it. She felt like all the worries had been swept away and she didn't fear her brother for now. She nuzzled Blaze's fine golden coat as he moved closer, she never wanted to leave but would have to at some point. Thier pasts connected them in a way, they had both had a fiery personallity but now the fire has changed and they would be stronger now without the hate in their hearts. She thought that she had heard all she wanted but another question left the studs maw and it was like her heart jumped again. I would be honored to be your lead. She already loved him and she felt like she was ready for the responsibility. It wasn't like she had to jump into a herd of 10 or more for she was the only mare for him at the moment.
