daggers moved smoothly, tiara refined high, green optics sparkling, Silvery spotted pelt gleaming, Lace strode calmly through the land. She loved it here. Her optics danced around the surroundings thoughtfully. A wamr breeze moved through, strange for the season, though this just seemed like one of those perfect nights. Yet, through this all, stress still laid upon her mind. Nothing in particular burdened her thoughts, just simply life stressed her mind. Nothing that could really be repaired she supposed. Though still, all she wanted to do was to relieve herself of those thoughts and to just relax. As she turned a corner and exited the forest she turned her tiara and suddenly gasped. The shimmering rays of the moonlight reflected into the falls making it the most beautiful sight she had ever seen. The soft rumbling of the falls rambles on soothingly and Lace's gaze caught on it. She suddenly felt her slender legs pulling her towards the falls. She continued towards them, her gaze not bending until she reached the waters edge. Then she dipped her head down to take a drink of the water. It felt cooler, and more pure then it ever had, and when she raised her tiara she waded into the water and ducked under. She swam under the pounding line of the falls and felt the pressure increase as she dove deeper. But finally she came back to the surface, and walked out. Her tresses dripped with water, and her soaked pelt looked glossy and magical. she shook her tiara lightly and her green optics seemed to glow and spark with relief. She sighed, and let out her tension. The real reason she was so tense was that she was in heat, and a bit stressed with minor problems. though now she saw them as minor, and her mind's grip released. She gazed back up at the towering falls. They were perfection. Equines throughout her life had always said that she defined perfection, but now she saw how wrong they were. And she felt sad for those who couldn't behold this. The falls were majestic, amazing, breathtaking. And she had never felt more at home before. Suddenly sense came to her. She loved this terra, but the main reason she loved it here wasn't because of the terra...It was because of Zodiac. Lace gave a slight gasp of surprize...how could she not have seen?...she was in love with Zodiac...suddenly everything made sense...everything, and for once she felt...free...

The back stallion trotted though the trees making his round to make sure no intruders made their way in without him sensing them and once he gave it the clear he made his way to the large waterfall in the center of the terra. He always liked to gaze into the moonlit fall for at the end of each day it was what relaxed him. He had noticed something different this time for as he approched she had noticed something go under the water. By the look of it, it had to be Lace. He lowered his dial and took in a gulp of the crisp fresh water and then waded himself into the water and going under the rushing falls. He then made his way back to the surface to see Lace. He had been meaning to find her by herself and there was no better place then here, then he picked up the scent of her in heat. The smell filled his nostrils but he pushed it aside. Hello Lace. Its a beautiful night, wouldn't you say? The sky was clear leaving a clear view of the night stars and the blue moon that was out. The air slightly warmer, perhaps spring was on its way.

Lace pricked her ears and felt her stomache flip with surprize at the voice. she turned her green sparkling optics to the speaker, and saw that it was Zodiac. A soft smile formed across her maw as she saw him and turned her gaze back to the falls as she spoke It's Enchanting it wasn't really her kind of thing to say, but the night was so amazing, and the realization that she loved Zodiac was surprizing, and caught her in her softer part of soul. She turned back to Zodiac and her smile was so warm that even her optics smiled, it really was a beautiful night. Her silvery pelt was still damp, and looked magical in the moodlight, but nothing could ever compare to the falls. Nothing can compare to Zodiac as well a small voice in her whispered. She suddenly felt a bit awkward, though she didn't show it. Because she 1. didn't know what to say next and 2. Was in heat. then 3. she just realized a minute ago that she loved Zodiac. It was a very overwelming situation. Though she his it well, and kept her gaze strong but soft with Zodiac, as the moonlight shimmered down...

Zodiac nodded, it really was enchanting here at night. He looked though the water for a moment knowing what he wanted to say just not knowing how. He really really liked Lacy and he couldn't see himself without her but still didn't want to admit he loved her though deep down he knew that she was the cause of the butterflies in his stomach everytime he saw her. The awkword silence was getting to him so he decided to pop the question, hoping that she was ready for it. Lace, I was wondering....Would you be my lead mare? He couldn't see any other mare to take the place, he wanted her to fill it but was she ready? would she accept? He waited for her reply, his dark orbs reflecting from the blue moon almost making his orbs look a dark blue against his ebony pelt.

Lace's heart swelled and she nodded before saying softly I would be honored A small, soft smile formed across her maw as she looked into his optics. She loved him, and she would do anything for him. her silvery pelt shimmered, as she gazed into his optics pride welling through her. He was different then other stags she had met. Zodiac was genuine. And that was a rare thing to come by. Warm air rushed by again, and suddenly her awkwardness wavered away, and she didn't feel as self consious about being in heat. Because she loved Zodiac, and that would never change. Strange that the night be like this, it almost seemed like fate...

Zodiac let a smirk cross his face as she spoke what he had been hoping for. He was glad that she accepted the position and she also seemed to relax a bit. He nudged her neck slightly with his muzzle then looked at the water that fell over the falls, it seemed to glow with the moonlight.

Lace smiled softly her heart speaking more then her expression. A silence fell upon the night other then a few birds still chatting on. Lace breathed out a sigh of relief. Though there was still a nagging at the back of her head. She was in heat, and she hoped for a foal, but Lace was too embaressed to ask, and moved her gaze to the moonlit falls. It was all so perfect. She had come so far. Luck had come so far. And she would never have to go back into the past again. She could stay in the future, and the new thought of adventure and pride in being lead mare, was the result of her glowing heart. Even the agitating feeling of being in heat didn't affect her contentness. And she finally got a taste of perfection. No...never mind...not perfection...Love. And it was as if fate had lead her here, on this night. Where the moonlight gleams softly, on the rumbling falls; A perfection.

Silence fell in the cave as they both seemed to watch the glowing falls. Zodiac knew that Lace was in heat but it was too risky to breed now, for the foal could be born in the ice cold weather and then it would kill Lace emotionally. He was able to block out he scent as he pricked his ears to listen to the few birds that chirped outside the cave. He listened to the roar of the mighty falls, winter was almost over for the days were starting to get warmer and the smaller falls wer begining to unthaw.

Recently Lace had accepted his offer to become his lead and now laid the question on his mind. Would she bare his first foal as well? It was a hard question to ask, he loved her and would always be here for her but did she feel the same way. He shook his mane and then looked to Lace, his gentle orbs looking into her saphire pools and he spoke to her. Lace, would you like a foal? His voice stayed strong but was gentle towards her.

Lace pricked a gentle ear as Zodiac spoke, and her heart swelled at the thought. She thought a moment, staring into Zodiac's deep chasms before finally softly answering Yes, I would And a soft, loving smile played honestly upon her maw. As her emerald chasms gazed to Zodiac Lace got lost in a feeling that she had never felt before, and a honest truth laid upon her that she full-heartedly accepted she loved Zodiac and no matter what she would do anything for him...

The black steed listened to the rushing water at the entrance of the cave, they were alone and no one could hear them but it didn't matter. Even over the rushing water Zodiacs ears listened to Lace's gentle words as she replied to his question. A smile crossed his jet black maw pleased with her answer not only because she was a mare in heat but because he had deep feelings for Lace and would do anything to protect or to just make her happy.
With her answer her turned and nudged her neck, his maw playing with the silver strands of mane that cascaded down her shoulder. He then made his way back to her rump where he gently nibbled at her coat and waited for a sign that she was ready.

Lace gave a short nod to Zodiac, and she waited. The cool wind rushed by, and the moonlight showed through the falls, crickets chirped, and a few loner birds sang as the night moved on...

Zodiac wathced Lace for a moment and after she gave a nod he moved around and mounted...
...Zodiac dismounted and walked up along her side, his head slightly lowered and he looked into her emerald pools, his voice was soft and gentle but still firm, Are you alright Lace?

She watched as he mounted...
As he dismounted she pricked an ear at his words and gave a slightly forced smile as she replied Of Course. The rushing of the falls was soothing, as not much more could be heard over it, and the cool spring night was like no other. As the Crickets chirped they could just barely be heard over the falls, and suddenly Lace's gaze got caught in the shimmering moonlight streaming through the falls, Before turning back to Zodiac, content and love shining in her chasms...

Zodiac kept one ear pricked on Lace as he picked up her words and his other ear picked up the sound of an owl outside the falls. It had to be in a nearby tree for him to be able to hear it over loud fall. The rushing water seemed to catch his gaze as well, the water seemed to glow with the moonlight and it reflected across the stone cave floor giving it a slightly blue haze. He flicked his forelock from his pools, it seemed to be the perfect night and now the thoughts of a foal ran on his mind. What would it be, a colt or a filly? What would it look like? What would its personality be like? Several things ran at once but he pushed them all back. Right now it didn't matter, right now he was with Lace and he would have to be here for her for she had to bare the foal and he knew that it was a hard on most mares.
