Golden Promise
The air was crisp in the morning light. The land was covered softly in morning dew, not frost. It is true, for the lands are warming again. Some birds sang their news songs that they had made over winter. A few foxes tumbled out of their dens playing, but when sprawling back in when they saw the nearby horse.
Golden Promise was awaiting her stallion's arrival. She had vanished for a while, but had merely just avoided the other herd members, due to being in heat. But now, she knew she couldn't avoid it any longer, so she came to an open area, and called to her stallion.

Numaric Light appeared. His muscles gleamed in the spring light. You called? He said to Golden. He was curious as to why she dissapeared, but he didn't want to get too personal. He looked at her golden coat. It shimmered in the moring sunshine and the sparkles in her eyes danced. Numaric Light was proud to have won this mare, his love.

Golden Promise
Promise looked at him. "Yes, I did," she answered simply. She hoped she didn't have to tell him, and that he would just know. Otherwise, she might as well forget it.

He nodded. Good, he was not mistaken. May I ask what my lady needs? He knew the answer, but wanted to ask, he didn't want to be to... excited. He flashed a knowing look at her to make sure that he was just checking. That would be akward if he just went ahead with it, very, very akward.

Golden Promise
Promise just sighed. "Come on, you must know," but she knew the same thing, it would be awkward to just continue on with it, so then she said, "We can do it now," she said. She gave a soft smile and flashed her chocolate orbs.

Golden Promise Promise smiled. Boy, had she chosen the right stallion. Kind, careful, gentle. She nodded, and then looked away.
She nodded again, "I'm fine Numaric Light," she said. She smiled and nuzzled him gently. "You'll be expecting a foal soon love," she said, then turned away after nudging him again. She was solitary, and preferred to be alone, even when pregnant with a foal. [/blockquote]

He smiled as she went. Just call if you need me. He whinnied after her. And take care of your self he added to himself. He looked after her, she should be fine. He turned away after she dissapeared into the horizon. A smile played on his lips.

Promise just nodded, she felt as if the foal was already within her. She continued to walk away, she had defiantly made the right choice about her stallion.

Golden Promise shook her mane as an annoying spring fly landed on her neck. She nuzzled the young foal as they walked over a hill. Promise nickered loudly, and the little foal jumped. He bucked all the way down the hill and dead stopped. He nickered too, but he really had no idea why. [/blockquote]

Numaric LIght nickered a reply and thundered down a nearby hill. He saw Promise and a foal next to her. Filled with pride he whinnied a welcome home. With aglance at the foal he said Promise, he's gorgeous!! He went up to the foal and nickered to him. He was afraid to startle the youngster. He was adorable with his white mane and tail matched perfectly to his pale palimino coat. He couldn't help but fall head over heels for his lttle foal before him.

Promise smiled as her stallion came running to them. She nuzzled him, "Yes, it's just, I have no name for him!" she said. The young colt looked up at his father, and stared. He was confused, but he finally got it, and nuzzled his father.

Numaric smiled as the delicate foal nuzzled him. He's so sweet! Hmm... he thought carefully and finally he hesitantly said Dawning Twilight He wasn't sure is he liked it let alone if Promise liked it. Did she? Weel, the dawn means his young pale color, the twilight relates to his adult color. I wonder if it works...

Promise thought, then nodded, "Yes, a perfect name," she said, while looking at her foal. Twilight seemed to nod in agreement. He swished his tail suddenly at a passing fly in annoyance. He was not yet used to the warming weather, and disliked it greatly . [[no muse, sorry]][/blockquote]

[[He's older now, I took to long to respond]]
Twilight was an older stud now. His golden coat glowed beautiful in the spring weather. His foal coat was completely gone now, and was now covered with his rich yearling coat. His white mane was like the milky way, flowing beautifully, and glowing.
Promise had left her foal now. There was no need to help him anymore. He was a yearling, and needed no milk, and he know just walked around with the other yearlings, and wandered far. It was nearly time for him to be kicked out.

Numaric Light watched day by day as the colt grew up, he was one year and almost ready to be kicked out. When should he? The choice was his to decide. He had a soft spot for Twilight, as he was his foal. He decided that he should do it soon, for the good of the herd. He walked over to his foal, now grown up { }, Hey, Twilight, I'm sorry, but... Should he do this now?? Was it too soon?

Twilight was away from his mother. He was only really by her when the herd gathered or when she wanted him to. She had been telling him about this, and he had been prepared for it everyday. He couldn't wait to take on the wilderness on his own.
He nodded when his sire told him. He understood, and showed that in his brown eyes. He rarely ever talked, and usually kept away from horses to prevent that.

Numaric Light gulped. I'm sorry, but I need you to go now. he blinked sorrowfly to prevent threatening tears. Sorry. he looked away, saddened by what he needed to do. After all, this was his son he was kicking out.

Twilight felt sad too, but wanted his father to be happy. He nuzzled him, "Father, I am yearling now, it is what's right, and I'll visit you often," he said gently, trying to soothe him. He didn't want to leave, but his mother was hardly with him, and he was getting annoyed by the foals, so he felt it was right.
Golden Promise nickered from nearby to say goodbye too. But she didn't come over, to prevent it from becoming more emotional. Twilight responded, said one last goodbye, and galloped out into the bachelor herds.
