It was pretty quiet, and dark. It was night, and Promise was extremely tired. She stepped clumsily into a small clearing where she laid down and sighed. She laid her head down on a soft pile of moss. Her golden coat glittered amazingly in the moonlight. It was a full moon, and the stars glowed right along the side of the moon. Promise had enjoyed her walk here, but not as she had gotten closer. Promise sighed once more . . .
She awoke to find a large body besides her. The foal was wet, but was already trying to get up. Promise grunted and rose to her feet. She nuzzled the small foal to get up. He tried two more times before being able to stand on his own. Promise was surprised, she'd never seen a foal stand to quickly.
Soon, the foal was full with warm milk. He stood next to his mother warmly. His coat was all clean, and sleek. It showed his true color. He was a palomino with a creamy white mane and tail. Yet he was a dappled palomino, and his build was from his father, strong, and sturdy. It was a colt, but Promise was stuck for a name. Golden Light was just too original. Maybe she would ask Numaric Light when she got back. So, she began to led the foal out of the forest.
