It was pretty quiet, and dark. It was night, or dusk at least, and Lace was close to being exausted. She strode waveringly into a bit of a clearing where she finally laid down and sighed in relief. She laid her head down on the soil gently and thoughts passed through her mind. Her silver spotted pelt glittered and gleamed enchantingly in the moonlight. It was a cresent moon, and the night black sky glittered with twinkles of stars. a warm breeze blew through gently, and Lace's tresses fluttered gently as she thought about the journey, and what was yet to come...
She laid still waiting and finally the contractions began. Lace pushed hard with each one that came forth and finally two little legs began to emerge. Once the head was finally out Lace kept on as the contractions got harder and harder each time. It didn't take too terribly long though and as the last and hardest contraction came forth , Lace pushed the foal out completely and then used her strength top waken her legs that had laid so long so that Lace rose upon her slender legs and began to gently, and lovingly clean off her spotted little filly that lais still upon the soft ground. The filly then soon began to try to move its legs around in awe trying to figure it all out and after about 13 minutes determined the filly was up on its wobbly daggers nudging pushingly at Lace's side trying curiously to find milk....
Soon After a long while, the filly was full with warm milk to her content. And She stood next to her proud mother happily. Her coat was all clean, sleek, and silky.Standing next to her mother she looked almost alike to her, yet different in many ways. She too had the Leopard spotted pelt, yet the filly's was more of a roan mix of it all. And also the filly looked a lot like her father; Zodiac in comfermation. Her build was strong and sturdy, and her orbs sparked ice blue with curiosity and excitement....
Though to be perfectly honest, Lace had no idea what to call her. She stood thinking for a while while the little filly pranced around trying out new paces on her daggers. Finally it dawned on her. For many reasons this was the name for her little filly, and it seemed to fit the little girl. So Lace gave a soft nicker to her filly, and the filly's orbs flicked in excitement as she raced over to her mother, going to fast and toppling over with a guilty look on her face. though she stood up again just as happy and pranced the rest of the way halting at her mother and waiting for what her mother wanted....
I think I finally know what to call you little one.
Lace said with a soft smirk, as the filly seemed to almost jump in excitement.
Your title will be Winter's Treasure, Winter for short.
Winter seemed jubilant at the name and tried to rear up in pleasure only to lose her balance and fall on her side. Lace laughed at the little filly's energy and nudged her filly up.
Come on Winter time to go home
Lace said with amusement in her voice and she turned nudging her little filly along and back to The Hidden Falls...
