Dream Breeze cantered into the lands like a breeze carries a petal, astray from a flower. She stopped under a patch of dawn lights, gazing up to see an Aurora Borealis. She admired it's beauty, her delicate white pelt reflecting the lights, the lights seeming to stain her coat their own colors. Her eyes sparkled as she stared up into the sky, watching the dancing lights. But, she remembered, These are not why I'm here... I'm here to find romance, someone who will understand my poetic ways. Someone who will enjoy drama, someone who will... Love... Me... She sighed as she tore her eyes away from the sparkling display. She stared out into the distance, ready for whatever storm or quagmire the Gods were going to throw at her now... Because love was indeed a swampy mess. You could love someone who didn't love you back, you could love someone, only to be informed that they'd died, but you could also love someone from a distance. Love was a confusing signature on your life, some letters clear, some foggy. It just depends on who burns a hole into your memory. And who you burn your memory into. Though confusing and unclear, that is what Dream was here to find. A breeze lifted her forelock to reveal an impression of a cloud outlined in silver. This was part of her namesake, for clouds are pulled along in breezes, and are supposedly where dreams happen, thus supplying Dream Breeze. So, there stood Dream Breeze, innocent and confused, serious and icy... Yes, she could be very icy to stallions or mares whom had walked up to her and just started blabbering. But she was also warm. Warm towords foals who strayed from their mothers, warm towords her family. Will you have the honor of her warmth?

Daggers dug unto earth, Blue banners wavered, Piercing blue optics searched about, As the magnificient blue roan bodice cantered strongly into the clearing. His strong pillars carried him fluidly, and he held his crown high and proud as he came forth. His auds pricked high as he listened. The Masculine finally slowed to a trot and eventually to a even stroding. He was a Primed steed and had knoledge beyond most. He had expierience of which most had never drempt of. and There was a cursed time in his life where he was nothing more then what could be a ghost. And yet through this all he kept a light heart, and looked optimisticly upon what was to come...
Grieving you could descibe him as of before, Saturnine, Drear. But now none of those traits followed. They had faded, Faded into but a Faded Illusion. Now he was free, content, Placid. No Animosity remained. None.
His Advances were smooth, and calm as he looked upon the Herbage. Ussually the Claiming Grounds were teeming with Mare's being courted, and a shrill excitement or torn feeling would fill the atmosphere. But not today. Today only a few mares stood. Most all speaking already to a stag. The blue roan masculine looked about though in curiosity, and suddenly his heart skipped a beat as he saw her.
She was a true beauty. Silver lining, beautifully carved tiara, perfect comfirmation. Yet amongst this all, t'was not her beauty that amazed the steed. But t'was her hope. it was clear amongst all of this. And t'was unique. She seemed different from rest, and yet most alike. She sparked his curiosity, and as most know about this masculine, that when his curiosity sparks, he can not hold back from his length of knowing...
As he approached her gently, he lowered his crown slightly, And his blue optics shone openly. His advances were smooth, and he looked placid as he came forth. When he finally reached her he dipped his crown, and a soft smile played across his maw as his gentle lyrics came forth...
Greetings, I am dubbed Illusion. May I have the knowledge of your title?
His blue roan pelt gleamed softly, and his blue banners wavered gently as he rose his frame and waited for her reply...

Dream Breeze watched as the blue stallion came up to her. She aknowledged his presence by dipping her head to him in greeting. She herd him say that his name was Illusion. Hmm... Shall I tell him my own name, or let him tease it out of me, like many do? Ah... I'll give him a riddle. It'll be a test. But I won't tell him that... He'll have to find out for himself! I am known as the opposite of a nightmare, and what you dream in is the second part of my name. Figure out my riddle, try to play my game. She waited airlily for him to reply, looking around anxiously. Whoever could answer this riddle would break down the first half of the bricks to her heart, would slay the dragon gaurding the castle of which a princess was hiding in. But, of course, there would be a locked wall, and so the one trying to save her from an eternity of lonleyness would have to climb the fence, and finally save the princess. This stallion would have to concentrate on the venomous dragon for now, Dream's hard outside shell. Dream glared at the stallion, wondering if he'd figured out the riddle quickly or would be slow. Or if he'd figure it out at all. She laughed to herself, icy gaze falling on Illusion's orbs. But, there was a warmth behind the ice, and his correct guess would feed the flame that mealts the ice in her personality. Would he accept this challange of herself, or move onto another mare. Was he a quitter, or a thinker? A lover or a hater? She'd soon find out.

Illusion laughed warmly as she gave a riddle, and his piercing blue optics sparkled in amusement and enthusiasm. She was certianly unique. He replayed her riddle in his mind I am known as the opposite of a nightmare, and what you dream in is the second part of my name. He thought a moment before deciding that the fuirst part was Dream, and so the second part must be...breeze? Hmm, he pondered it and finally decided that the name would suit her, and clearly fit the riddle so he swiftly answered with a warm smile playing on his maw and amusement in his tone
Hmm...Then Could your name possibly be...Dream Breeze? for A Dream Is the Oppisite of a Nightmare, and Breeze fits so perfectly in with the rest. It makes sense, Or at least, that's what i would suppose...
He ignored her icy glare, for whether she tried to hide it or not, her tender caring side was clear and strong under her gaze...

She was startled that he'd gotten her riddle correct with so little thought. He must be a phychist! That's the answer... Yea, that's the only explanation. Unless he's just really good at solving riddles... Hmm... Her gaze softened as she inspected him more closley. Yes, his features would describe an intelligent horse. Ah... You've guessed correctly. My name is indeed Dream Breeze. It's a pleasure to meet you, Illusion. She dipped her head once more to the stag. Yes, he was obviously ignoring her trying to be tough, so she let her gaze go to what she'd do if she were looking at a lost foal. Soft and watery... One eye blue, the other green. She lifted her head to him so that their eyes met. He was a gentle fellow, kind and dreamy. He was very much airy like she was, she could tell. He was lighthearted, and optomistic. And his blueness was very special, for she had never met a horse that seemed to be... blue. Yes, he was just as unique as her personality, and they'd look good next to each other. If only he could break down some more bricks to her heart, climb the locked fence. Then one would see just how grand they'd look next to each other. If only... If only... If only I had a question to ask him... If only. There are just so many 'if onlyies' out there. If only I had jumped a second later, if only I had caught his mane, if only, if only, if only. She didn't take much notice to what she was thinking of, just thought it. For, in her past, these were some of the answers she'd asked herself. But she didn't know that. She was suffering from Amnesia, and only remembered basic things. What her name was, how to talk, how to think, how to eat, ect. But she didn't know she had amnesia. Nobody, in fact, knew, exept for the gods above. What a mystery... A mystery for solving. A mystery for later, though. Now all her energy was focused on seeing this stag's true colors.

OOC:Sorry for taking so long K2ishorse.
[glow=red,1,600]A soft smirk crossed his maw at her words and he nodded his head politely to her. A soft laugh escaped him for no real reason. Most likely simply because of the gorgeous day, the optimisim, and of how Dream Breeze seemed to give off enthusiastic vibes. Her turned to Dream and gave a apologetic smirk, and shook his head slightly, resulting in his long tresses billowing out, and gleaming in the sunlight. When he raised his piercing blue optics to meet dream's again laughter gleamed in his orbs. And after a moment he spoke, the lyrics coming fluidly, and natrually forth...
What may I ask brings you to these lands of the arrowheads Dream Breeze?
Illusion said gently. His painted pelt gleamed in the rising sun, and his blue banners wavered gently.
All the same he listened for her reply. Yes, she was beautiful. But beauty is never important. For she most certianly had heart which was a rare gift to any equine. And she certianly had uniqueness, which was always something to treasure. she was not like the rest, and she seemed to have an array of hope and thought about her, and Illusion respected that. His piercing blue orbs shone out as he watched intently for her reply...[/glow]

Dream Breeze tilted her head curiously. Why, in fact, was she here? All she could sum up to this happy-go-lucky stag was For reasons that don't concern you. The lie gleamed in her eyes, it was obvious she didn't know. But she wasn't about to admit that to this glorious stallion. Instead, she looked away, sighing, trying to remember her past life. She remembered it like the wind-- Sometimes, whisps of it were there, but then they'd dissappear, leaving her with a terrifying blankness. She shuddered as she tried to remember. Then it suddendly came to her. But I can't tell him that I'm here to find someone who will love me, and help me discover my past! He'd surley get on my case and say "Ooh, let me H E L P !" And that would be just so lame. Inside, she knew that he wouldn't say that. But she didn't dare admit that to herself. Her life was just so full of secrecy... She wasn't bad, she was just commonly misunderstood, and often called a liar. Well, she did tell white lies on the rare occasion, but when one does not know what is wrong with another, they say the first thing in their head, which is "You're a liar!" So, she faced him again and waited his responce, to see if he'd scout out the lie in her voice and in her eyes and her body language. It wouldn't be that hard, either.
But, shh, don't tell him, he just might figure her out!

[glow=red,1,000]Illusion pricked his auds listening to her reply, but his optics did not leave hers, and so that was why he instantly knew she was lying.
Eyes tell everything Dream Breeze. And they betray you.
A warm breeze whipped through, billowing out Illusion's banners, and making leaves from a few trees fly from their places and fall to the earth lightly. The sun gleamed brightly, beating down on Illusion's painted pelt, and Pronouncing his piercing blue optics. He watched her, his piercing optics seeing right into her soul. And he knew that she had an answer to his previous question. She just wouldn't give it a try.
So, Are you going to tell me the truth? Or will you let your eyes betray you once again? It's your choice, I can't make you say it.
Slight twinges of mischief edged at the corners of his maw, as he waited for a reply. He kept eye contact with her, glueing his optics to hers. Eyes tell everything. It was something he had learned of long ago...[/glow]

She knew that he was looking at her, she could even see his eyes looking into hers. She closed them, immediatley, and her head shot up in a somewhat snobbish way. I'm not gonna tell you, she said in a sing-song voice. When she opened her eyes, there was a playful sparkle. She looked up, looked down, turned around, and said Ennie meeny miny moe; where is that hairy, big, fat toe? How should I know, Mr. Moe? What this meant, of course, was 'Where is the truth; or do we even want to know the truth? I don't know, I haven't the experience of years on me, do you know?' Whether or not Illustion would know what meant, well, she didn't know. So, to confuse him further, she said The truth is clear, so clear that we sometimes see right through it. It's always there, in plain view, but it's easily looked over, squashed and smooshed beneath hooves looking for somthing more. But, what is more? Is it life? What is the meaning of life? Why are we all even here? We all will die, so why not just be born unto heaven? Why should we live, to simply know pain when one you love is lost to death? And what do we learn from that, evilness, hatred, where is the beauty in this life of pain? She shrugged her sholders, and had a faraway look in her eyes...The white horse reared up, pawing the air as a couger pounced down onto him. A timid mare watched from a near distance as the battle went on. She shivered as the couger drew red blood that stained the stallion's white coat. The stallion reared in rage, and rolled onto his back, crushing the couger. It sprang up, and pounded the air with padded feet, claws outstretched. The white stallion pushed it with his hind leg, more or less kicked the creature, and it fell off a steep cliff. The timid mare trotted over to her lover, who was staring out over the cliff. As she approached him, she realized that the rock beneath his feet was loose... She sped into a hand-gallop as the gravel gave way to his weight. He was startled, and seemed to stand on his rear hooves for a moment. But, she saw to her own horror, that he was falling face-first, down the cliff! As if in slow motion, she got nearer, and just missed catching his mane by a hair. She screamed as he yelled to her, Dear Dream... She could see the beautiful, strong, warm fire leave his eyes even from way up high as he hit a sharp rock that sent his body spiraling sideways. As if in a fairytale, Dream Breeze watched his limp figure loose it's air and... She looked away. He was dead as soon as he'd hit that rock. That godforsaken rock! Tears stained her face as she beat herself senseless against another rock... When she awoke, she remembered nothing. She didn't look over a cliff, didn't feel the pain of loosing her beloved, didn't have the fear of just seeing a couger. She was lost and confused, and Dream Breeze cantered away, to here, and met Illusion... Fresh tears sprang into her eyes as she had a sudden flood of memory. Her sweet, loving, dear Snow Drift. Ah, how deeply they had love for each other! She felt among the air even now, searching for his scent, but only smelling some other stallion... Had she been kidnapped from her beloved? No. This was... She looked blankly at Illusion. She, for some reason, knew he wasn't mean, and that he hadn't known Snow Drift. So, who was he? Where was she? And, most importantly, where was her beloved Snow Drift? Suddendly, a horrid relization came to her orbs as she looked at Illusion. Snow Drift was dead, her beloved, sweetheart. She'd seen him die, she was scared of cougers, she was scared cliffs, she had met this stallion called Illusion that saw right through her words, and looked into her soul. She took a few steps backwords, forgetting all hostility and fierce proudness. She was timid like she had been before, her eyes rolled as she pranced in place. So much had happened... Why did Snow Drift have to leave her like this? Snow Drift, she whispered. She didn't expect an answer, but all the same searched for one, eyes totally blank and liquidy with fear and fresh tears. Snow Drift! She shouted passionatley and stared into the sky, her soul senseless and her heart numb to the stallion in front of her. She didn't see him, she still knew he was there, but was numb to the presence of all other living creatures around her. Remembering what she'd said earlier, she said blandly and somewhat bitterly, Do we want to remember what we could simply forget?

Fine With Me Illusion stated calmly and his auds pricked up as she spoke the rest. She said something like Ennie meeny miny moe; where is that hairy, big, fat toe? How should I know, Mr. Moe? But it didn’t confuse Illusion, he instant,y heard the tone, and read through her eyes, seeing the words as plainly as if they had been written. Where is the truth; or do we even want to know the truth? I don't know, I haven't the experience of years on me, do you know?' I believe I do know Dream. And he did. He knew much more then she could tell. The magnificient blue roan painted stag watched her as she spoke again, and kept a intense watch on her optics. The truth is clear, so clear that we sometimes see right through it. That was what she had spoken and, Illusion said in response whether she wanted one or not, I know the answer Dream Breeze. But the question is do you understand? Love is more, and friendship, and understanding. Life itself is not more, because Life is simply where these things take place; good and bad. If we didn’t have life, how could we ever understand greater things then what we are? Life’s meaning is to conserve those things so delicate and dear that they can either heal us, or destroy us. We are here to fulfill that, and to make a difference. We are gifted to be blessed upon such a place, and we are the guardians of the things in the world that hold beauty. We must earn our place in the stars that is why we are placed here first. Without pain, there can not be kindness, love, renewal, happiness, and healing. You must have pain to truly understand. We learn much Drea,m Breeze, and I believe that you see that.
Then suddenly as he watched her optics they clouded and he saw her as she was in this wretched flashback. Yet he did not wake her. She needed to remember. Finally Illusion was sure that she had come back, and he saw tears spring into her optics. She couldn’t remember where she was at the moment, but she soon would, he could tell.
There. That was it. She remembered now. Saw realization. She had lost someone she had loved. And someone who had loved her back, that was clear. As she took a few wobbly steps back, illusion took one gentle step towards her and halted, his piercing blue orbs watching her caringly. As she whispered her lovers name Illusion bowed his noble crown and listened as she shouted it after. He is still with you Dream. Can’t you see him? He’s inside of you, thriving on your soul. He won’t leave you—ever. Believe that. Illusion said softly to her, trying to touch her soul, with his optics and soothing words. He pricked his auds as she spoke again this time to Illusion. Do we want to remember what we could simply forget? Yes we do Dream. Yes we do. Embrace his rest as a new beginning. Death is not an end. And you are not alone.

She listened to his words, but didn't hear. She had a headache. What had he just said? Something about He's still with you, Dream. Can't you see him? But all she could see at the moment was him, indeed, him falling to a rocky, vain death. He died trying to protect her, but he couldn't protect her anymore... He was dead. But Illusion had said that he was still with her... Could that be true? She couldn't feel a presence, most certantly not, he was dead. He. Was. Dead. But at the same time, he wasn't. He was in heaven, and living in her memory forever. That was clear. But what she was unsure of was the last thing he said. You're not alone. Believe that. But how was she not alone? She surly couldn't live alone on Snow Drift's presence, not on just memories. So who was he referring to? She closed her eyes, so that he couldn't see anything that she wanted to keep to herself. She was not an open horse, she was shy and meek, and scared. So scared. She took another step backwards as he stepped towards her, not wanting to be near to anyone. What to do? What was he trying to pull? She opened her eyes and glared at him, confused and angry. She knew exactly what he was trying to pull! He's going to try to make me fall in love with him. Well, he can't! I have only eyes for Snow Drift. Snow Drift. Snow Drift! But she also heard another voice, for the first time in a long one. But that's not what I would want you to do, is it? She didn't know...

Dream Breeze…Snow Drift’s still there. Can’t you hear him? If not then you need to LET GO, And put your mind at ease. Forget his death, Remember how it was. Remember Dream. It’s the only way to lessen the pain.
Savor the sorrow, to soften the pain… [glow=red,2,300] Illusion said strongly, and yet his voice vibrated with gentleness. She was going to get through this. She couldn’t live in this pain forever. She had to accept it NOT AS DEATH, but as a whole new beginning for Snow drift, and for Her. Illusion’s piercing blue optics shone out clearly and caringly, as he watched her. Her eyes, we closed, but all the same Illusion could still read her. Eyes were not the only way. He did not step any closer but he bowed his noble neck slightly and said [/glow]
You can cry Dream. It’s the best way to heal what has been broken. Stop holding it all in. and let Snow drift’s spirit run free.
Don’t you see? You don’t even have to listen to me Dream, But at least listen to what Snow Drift is telling you. For him, and for yourself.

Dream opened her eyes. She was being read like a page in a book... She didn't like it. She wanted to keep some things private from the world, espicially from this Illusion. What was he saying? That she needed to LET GO if she couldn't hear him, if he wasn't still there. She COULDN'T hear him! HE. WAS. DEAD. But she could hear his spirit whispering things to her... Maybe. It might be her imagination. But was it? She considered both options, but took another few steps backward. Was Illusion reading her again? Yes, his piercing blue orbs were staring at her... Who was he? He was Illusion, but who was Illusion? She was disgusted. She closed her eyes and stood stifly as he said that it was OK to cry. She wasn't crying and didn't plan on doing so. She glared at Illusion, with her Justgoawayyoubadbadhorse-I'mhurtinganddon'twantyoutobotherme! glare. This time, there was a truth in her eyes. She. Wanted. To. Be. Left. Alone. By. Illusion. She turned away from him and trotted away, hoping he would follow.
OOC: He can shase her or something, she can still be won over by him. She's having one of her 'moods'. Lol!

[glow=red,1,600]Illusion watched her his gentle blue optics laying gently upon her. And as she glared sudden annoyance fired up in him. She wasn’t hurt at all it seemed. It seemed like she didn’t care about this Snow Drift of hers, it seemed like she hated him and never wanted to think of him again. It was ridiculous. She was ridiculous. She had no broken heart, just an attitude problem. But all the same, even in his irritation he still found compassion. That was the beauty of Illusion. Even when others were cruel he could still see the light, clear and strong, illuminating brightly. And that was why he always had the advantage over other, because he didn’t let his emotions control him; like this mare. She had seemed unique and strong at first, but now all he saw was her weakness to admit what was so plainly seen. [/glow]
You are admitting to your weakness. And you are shunning Snow Drift. YOU are the reason he is captive. You are the one holding him prisinor. Why won’t you let him free? I thought you loved him. So, why don’t you show it? [glow=red,1,600] Illusion asked, his voice vibrating strongly, yet proudly, gently, and un-weakened. His blue optics watched her strongly, holding grip of her it seemed, and yet they held something else, something soft and gentle, and caressing. If she looked she would see that his optics were really speaking their own words. Shhh…Listen dream. Can’t you hear him? I can. He’s in you…let him free…let him free…When she trotted away, he didn’t trot after her. She wasn’t a prize to be won. He wouldn’t chase after her like a desperate colt. No, he stood still watching her. Gently, caressingly, softly. Why couldn’t she see the light? Then suddenly he heard it. He heard it. And that was why he walked fluidly after her until he reached her and he spoke, his voice gentle, calm, caressing…[/glow]
The hazy air stands humid ‘round, and all the strength is gone. A warm but fluid motion made and tender heart is worn. Suddenly a creature pounced from nowhere it would seem Though beaten was the creature, the victorious scream, Was doused by the grating, of rocky canyon stones, And gave away the ledge that held that equine so. Terror struck both hearts, and life flashed before both’s eyes. As lifeless body hit the ground, Hope was lost, and then…the skies Parted in somber bow. As death’s angel swooped down upon The life lost and made was that vow. Never gone will he be Understand this now. See that soul inside of thy’s. And see the singing bird’s sow. He’s still there
[glow=red,1,600]Would she understand his riddle? Well, if she was intelligent enough, and listened then absolutely. Or most of all, if she heard the voice. Heard Snow Drift’s voice, ringing loud and clear. Illusion had just spoken of her past, but could she ever know that a part of his was incredibly alike? No…she knew nothing of that part of his life. But she would if he told her. Though, he would only tell her if she would listen. If she would open her eyes up and LISTEN. Listen…can’t you hear?...[/glow]

I'm so tired of being here Suppressed by all my childish fears And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave 'Cause your presence still lingers here And it won't leave me alone
Dream Breeze grimaced, and suddenly stopped. Was that what he thought? She was shunning Snow Drift? I think not! She was just tired of being without him, tired of life's dull effect on her. If he was dead, why could she still feel him? Why was he talking to her, why couldn't he just leave her be? And she could tell that he was, in fact, near, but how? She did not like to think of death, she'd been so gentle, warm, and simple so long ago. If only she still could hold onto that simpleness, but she lost all innocence when Snow Drift fell to his death... Protecting her. There was the pain, all the sorrow, the ice of her new being. She blamed herself for his death. If she wasn't with Snow Drift, he'd easily outrun the cougar. But no, she had to have the extra weight. Of a foal. Only, she'd given birth as he fought the cougar, and had left the foal as he fell off the cliff. And she forgot about the foal, because it was stillborn. And she'd gotten up in her sorrow, run to meet him, and there went her love...
These wounds won't seem to heal This pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase
She could never fully heal from her pain, her throbbing heart was just feeling so numb. She couldn't seem to find any room for anyone else, only Snow Drift. No room, no room. And who was this... This... Illusion to come up to her and just start trying to find her past, to make her wounds keep getting cut open? She wanted her wounds to heal, but they couldn't. There was just so much weight on her shoulders, so much that could never be erased, never be healed. But why not? Why must she, every waking moment, be haunted by the vision of him falling... Keep falling... And her standing there, not able to save him. Why? Anger surged through her. She whipped around, to face him, to spit venomn in his own vile face, make him eat his words. But then he spoke again... A riddle? And the answer was ovbious, but not obvious. How did he know what had happened, and yet not know? She was sure that she hadn't told him, was positive. So how did he know what happened to Snow Drift? And why was he insisting that Snow Drift was living inside her when he was in fact dead? Why was he trying to make her re-live all of her pain? Why, oh why?
You used to captivate me By your resonating light Now I'm bound by the life you left behind Your face it haunts My once pleasant dreams Your voice it chased away All the sanity in me
Dream could see Snow Drift falling, the image haunting her forever. It appeared in her sleep, and she really should have changed her name to Nightmare, not Dream Breeze. But she wanted to live as Snow Drift had known her, didn't want to pass to the dark side. And it was just so hard, to hold onto reality. She sometimes felt like she was insane with all the crazy things that she said, them making sense only if you thought about them. Just like poor Ophelia from Hamlet, after thinking that she had nobody left. Her father and love were lost to her, and went insane. She passed out flowers once, and each one did represent something, each meaning to each character. That's how Dream Breeze felt now, like she was Ophelia, with hardly any meaning left in her life...
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone But though you're still with me I've been alone all along
Yes, in a way Illusion was right. Snow Drift was gone, that's what she'd been telling herself. And so was their foal, therefore she felt that Snow Drift had died completley. Yes, Snow Drift was still with her, but she was alone. He was there, but he wasn't there. Her stance changed from being defensive to being quiet, submisive. Her lyrics flowed softly and with the weight of emotion and death on them. Yes, Illusion. Snow Drift is with me. But I am alone.

[glow=red,1,600]Finally she saw. Though it was clear that she still did not fully comprehend, she had taken a step, and for her, that was a gigantic effort to do so. Though as she spoke once more, her tonation heavy with pain, she muttered the words that struck him deeply in emotion, and he was suddenly plummeted into a flashback. His clear sapphire orbs darkened and could be read so absolutely clearly, The pain shone in his darkened orbs, and the true Illusion was shown…not the strong guarded one…but a stag…who had endured pain beyond the imagination of so very many… As he had no further control over them in this state. And pain vibrated through him as he stood blankly facing Dream, there, and yet not.
“get out and get lost. then die, slowly and painfully...” the gypsy vanner stallion growled, venom dripping off every word. “No. Get Away From Her Father.” The blue roan painted yearling said, his voice ringing out boldly. But he didn’t feel bold. He felt scared, shocked, caught, and defeated, he knew he stood no chance against him. But he could not step back, and let his father hurt her…because he loved her…so dearly…. Not that he would ever tell his father that. His father kill him on the spot. Though, he started getting the feeling that his father would do that anyway in a few moments. “She’s my mare. Not yours. Get OUT”. A terrified waver flashed through the yearling, and he wanted to step back and forget he had ever stepped in. But as he glanced at Mirage, he knew he had to do this. “Get out and I’ll leave her alone” His father growled but the yearling watched his eyes as he spoke and saw the lie clearly. “you lie.” The young stag accused. the colt’s father glared before lunging out at the yearling and missing only by an inch. The yearling reared up., and prepared to knock over his father, but before he could his father recovered and his father slammed into him knocking him to the ground. The yearling jumped up and winced in pain. But his father wasted no time and took off galloping. His father drove him miles, and miles, and death’s angel seemed to be preparing to swoop down and swiftly take the yearling. But his father arranged his death before the angel moved. For, finally the yearling’s father drove him off the cliff…It was a terror. And the yearling felt pure terror strike at his heart. But somehow, he survived the fall at the canyon’s base. But he could not move. Death would take him soon, it was obvious, because he had so many broken bones, from the slam as he hit the rocky canyon ground. Then suddenly his father’s voice echoed through the canyon from above, and the yearling could faintly hear it. “I was going to leave her be. But she will not live one second more. For if you did not see, she followed us, and now because of you, She will die. Here. Where I stand, I will slaughter her, and you will hear her scream, echoing through the canyon walls, as she dies, because of you. Because of YOU. Faded Illusion.” His father sneered ruthlessly. A few minutes later there was a sobbing, and scream as Mirage was driven to the canyon edge, where the yearling heard the scream uplifted, the scream that signified death, the scream of his lover, fill the air densely, and then he heard rocks tumble as she was pushed from the canyon side by his father, and she landed heavily on the ground, next to the yearling; DEAD. Suddenly it was all too much for the yearling and his emotions over powered him, as he felt his breathing grow heavier, and he fell unconscious, with his fathers ruthless laugh ringing in his heart, along with the single sinister word…Alone…Alone…Alone…
Alone… in a swift motion Illusion was suddenly thrown back to the present, and the whites of his orbs rolled wildly for a few moments while he gathered his cordinations, and realized where he was again. Alone. The vile word still vibrated through his mind as he stared at Dream Breeze, still slightly blankly, and the suddenly it all came back. And as pain vibrated through him hid orbs hued back to a guarded sapphire glint, full of wisdom, though now they were again also filled with pain. And as he lowered his orbs slowly, words slipped out, of which he had not depended on.
But I am here Dream. And so, you are not alone. Not now at least. And if I get my wish, then never again will you be alone. Because I wish that whatever path you take in the future, leads you to where your soul can peacefully embrace the light.
The words were given smoothly and genuinely, even though he had not counted on them, and with a flash of realization Illusion felt that they were undoubtfully true. Because they were the lyrics of his heart. And no matter what, the vocals that his heart spoke, would always lead him to the light in the end. Now, if only the same could go for Dream…If only. Because whether she saw it or not, she was not alone. Not as long as Illusion walked this earth. For somber solitude was something that pained every prisoner in it’s grasp, to an end. [/glow]

The femme stood there, her expression conufsed, as the stallion before her plunged into his past. She blinked, and wondered what he was remembering. She tried looking into his eyes, to see what he was, but all she saw there was an unbearable pain. And, like magic, she realized what he had been hiding... He was, in fact, more like her then he'd let on. He'd had an accident on a cliffside, he felt that it was his fault for the loss of the loved one. He'd flet like he wanted death to wisk him away off the planet. And he'd been trying to help her all along. That she could still move on without forgetting her memories, but move on all the same...
Take time to realize Oh-oh I'm on your side Didn't I, didn't I tell you. Take time to realize This all can pass you by Didn't I tell you
Dream Breeze stood there, waiting for his mind to re-surface to reality, to here and now. She waited in a paitent way, looking wary and old, older than she really was. Her eyes stayed downcast on the ground, realization making her feel moved by his pain. A soft wind picked up, gently tumbling her forelock into her eyes, hiding the wateriness that now welled up inside. For the first time, she felt empathy for Illusion. She tried to blink back the tears that now streamed down her cheeks in a silent wail. And then, Illusion seemed to wake up from his memory's clutch.
Take time to realize, That your warmth is Crashing down on in Take time to realize, That I am on your side Didn't I, Didn't I tell you
She was moved as the stallion's eyes rolled in a frantic search of his memory to remember where he was, to realize that had been long ago. Dream knew that it would be a bit... Odd... After for so long turning away from him and plugging out his words, but she felt a sudden urge to sling her neck around his, to tell him it would be OK. But she resisted, because he was scared and probably in shock of some kind. But his kindness towords her even when she had given him the cold shoulder moved her deeply. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. She could see the pain that was crashing over him like a black tsunami, hiding him from the rest of reality, if only for a few moments. She shook her head, trying to clear her eyes before he came back to reality completley. She didn't want even him to know that she had cried for him. Dream Breeze winced as she realized what was happening to her, and she tried with all her might to think nothing but Snow Drift, Snow Drift, Snow Drift.....
Because she could only have one true love.
It's not always the same no it's never the same if you don't feel it too. If you meet me half way If you would meet me half way. It could be the same for you.
If you just realize what I just realized then we'd be perfect for each other then we'd never find another Just realize what I just realized we'd never have to wonder Just realize what I just realized
Dream Breeze just stood there, blinking and distorted, trying to pull herself together like she'd been able to for so long, but the tears weren't done yet. They kept bubbling from her pools even more when she tried to stop them. She wouldn't let herself cry out loud, at least. She had that much dignity left in her to keep enough controll of her voice. And she didn't look up as he spoke to her, telling her that she was not alone, that he was there for her. That he wished nothing less than for her peace, for her to be peacefull at last. And she wanted to speak to him, to say No! Don't even say that, because you're the one that needs it more than I do. She wanted to apologize if she'd caused him any pain, if she'd re-surfaced any memory that should be kept stuffed down whenever it tried to come up for a refreshment. Because, though he was right that memories were forever and that you should hold them to you dearly, some just you should just hold away, and not be touched ever again. Illusion... Dream Breeze gained some controll of her voice, though it shuddered, I know that you feel memories... Should be kept alive but... Some should just go die... In the deepest pits of hell, and never return... In each pause, she took a breath, fighting for dominance over her wavering voice. Even though it was hard for her, she continued. I'm so sorry... she whispered. Just so, so sorry... And she was finally finished her little speech to him. Lifting her head, she met his gaze with hers, for once her eyes didn't show any hint of secrets, just sympathy and pain, saddness and some more pain... And she saw in his eyes that he was afraid of being alone, like she was, that being alone was the greatest pain of all. And she understood from the way his orbs had a protected sheen to them that they'd actually always been like that, that he'd always tried to guard the pain from his eyes. But for who? Surely not for her sake, and did it matter if your eyes were sad for you? Because, as far as Dream knew, the only reason to keep pain out of your eyes was to hide it somewhere where it would slowly eat you away, and she knew it from experience. Apparently the day had alot of first times for her, because now, for the first time, she hadn't speaken in riddle, and was now taking a step closer to Illusion, instead of a step farther. She wanted so badly to reassure him, to help him heal his wounds, but instead, she took only one more step so they were now six strides apart. I know that I'm not alone, because... Because I have you, she finished silently. Wow, she'd really changed in the past few minuets. Almost like she was a totally different horse. But she wasn't thinking about herself now, only about Illusion. So she didn't really notice.

[glow=red,1,600]
Illusion raised his crown slightly, meeting his sapphire blue orbs with hers, and he felt a strange understanding. Not the kind of understanding he had felt before, but...something much more... And he saw pain in Dreams orbs again, but this time the pain seemed selfless. This time she seemed to be saying sorry for her judgement. and that was just what she said next. Some memories should die?...but then what will happen to the wisdom gained from it?...but then again, all I have gained from it all is pain...I see that now... He thought with a growing emotion of which he did not reconize. I understand Illusion whispered to her. because he did, as simple as that, understand. He understood it all. And he felt that noting in this conversation, could surprize him again, but he was wrong. for the next words Dream spoke couldn't have surprized him more, and yet he knew them to be something that he had known before. As if a memory of sort... But she did not finish the sentance. she stopped short, and seemed to finish the sentance inside. But even as Illusion looked into her orbs for an answer; he found none. So, he raised his orbs in curiosity, and inquired
because...[/glow]

'I understand.' Finally, the two horses could see eye to eye! It had took them long enough. Dream Breeze ducked her head when Illusion wanted her to finish her sentance. She couldn't. Just couldn't. Why not? she asked herself. WHY not?! The fae wanted to answer him, really she did, but she didn't think she could answer without blurting out more than she wanted to. So instead, she raised her dial and met his eyes. He was supposed to see more in her eyes than words anyway, right? Because. But when his look remained blank, she groaned inwardly. Where was his talent when she wanted it to work? But then again, you can't spell it out for someone without words. But her life was a riddle, so some of her personality started showing through the pain. Because because, she teased him. Oh, he knew! She knew that he knew, because she could now see it in his eyes, too. How could he not know? A soft wind picked up, and by this time it was nighttime. Sapphire orbs reflected the moon as it shone down on the two horses. The wind picked up her mane and gently blew it to one side, the side opposite of where she was looking. She was looking East, where the moon was rising in the twilight, and the wind came from the west. Her gray bodice shimmered in the starlight every time she so much as blinked, which wasn't often. She was too busy thinking things over. Dream Breeze still knew that Illusion was there, she could sense him, but her maw stayed shut. The warm breeze continued to run it's fingers through her mane and tail, sometimes causing it to ripple, sometimes blowing it into her eyes. Then, abruptly, the scene got much darker. That had been the Silver Hour, a time she considered sacred. The wind died down and the mare dropped her head from the stars, though they still shone in her eyes. She loved studying the Silver Hour. It could easily make you more relaxed and feel at peace with the world. Did good for her soul. She smiled briefly at Illusion before dropping his gaze. So much to consider...

[glow=red,1,600]Ah, I see. I'll join in as well I suppose. Illusion said. he shrugged and started along as well because because because because because because because because because because... A smirk grew on his maw, but he turned his expression away from Dream because otherwise this all wouldn't work. Hmm, faster you say? Well okay then. Becausebecausebecausebecause becausebecausebecausebecause... Now his sapphire orbs danced with amusement. Spell it out? Well, okay then. B E C A U S E A couple of laughs escaped him. Because, what? Because there are fireflies to light the way? Because you found a flashlight? Because you just invented a wireless way of electricity? Because you always have your concience? Because you have your riddles? Because you have a butterfly partner in crime? Because you have 305, 000, 012 apples and 5,555,538,365 sugar cubes? because... He tossed his mane in amusement as his voice trailed off, and he turned back to her, stepped forward and nudged her gently, and exhaling gently as he pulled back. His eyes sparkled encouragingly and his expression was gentle as he waited to see if she would respond...[/glow]
