Radience
Gain My Trust, And I'll show you the way
[glow=red,1000]The young, weak filly walked cautiously into this strange land. The dread of seeing her mother's lifeless body only a small time ago, was still too much to bear. Forced to wean herself far before she was ready to survive, the striking young filly was desperately trying to live off grass. But her small stomach couldn't easily digest materials as such, and so her energy was hard to save. She was weak but she didn't let that stop herself from regular duties for protection, but she was terribly skinny, and depressingly alone. The poor filly had come towards the scent of equines, and she was absolutely and completely at the mercy of any horse that wandered near, which didn't comfort her much. All she could do was to hope that fate and destiny would be kind to her this once. Her light blaze placed upon her forehead still gleamed though. As skinny, sad, and helpless as she was she somehow still looked striking and gorgeous. But that may not even last. For, If even a few more days passed, she may very well die.
She still remembered her mother vaguely, but she had known her mother for but an hour, and her mother had been so very very weak. And finally her mother had fallen into a deep sleep, and she didn't wake up. Not after many days did she wake up, and so finally the filly had faced the sad and heartbreaking truth; Her perfect mother was dead. And yet she was not. the filly reminded herself with determination.
Her personality still showed through in her weak state. And she was strong. Her frame even as a young filly was graceful and elegant, and her optics twinkled a purple-blue shade. Hope was what you could say completely described the look the filly had. And yet there was also fear. But a determination stuck upon her and she stayed sure and hopeful as she weakly walked through the lands.
It was spring and the filly would've loved it, only she couldn't really. Because it was honestly extremely hard to be content when you were in such a state as she. But maybe today that would change. Maybe today she would find a caring equine who could be as he 'mother', and she would be able to see the sunrise tomarrow. Or, maybe she would meet a merciless equine, and this could very well be her last day breathing...
She was in Fates hands and no one else's now...What would become of her?[/glow]

The golden stag roamed the peaks of the claiming lands with his crown held high, fathomless optics sparkling. Strong, mud-caked daggers struck the ground as he walked briskly through the spring air, ebonite banners billowing out behind him. As he walked, he watched the claiming grounds below him, and his eyes were caught on that of a tiny palomino filly, looking so alone and yet... there was something hopeful and beautiful about her. What could she being doing here? Perhaps her mother had died during birth and this was the first place she knew to come, with so many horses conversing and seeming friendly? But the truth was, this place was quite dangerous for a little filly... where was her mother?
Blaze's instinct was the help the filly, and he usually followed his instincts because they were usually good. So, he picked up his pace to a jog until he was within the filly's sight. Slowing to a walk as not to scare her, Blaze let a out a friendly nicker, letting her know he wouldn't hurt her. She was small and beautiful, a striking golden palomino with a delicate creamy mane and tail and entrancing blue-purple orbs which glistened with determination in the sunlight. Her form was elegant and beautiful even as a foal, and Blaze knew that she would grow up to an exquisite femme.
Hello, m'lady, what brings you here on this lovely day?
His voice was not fake-happy as some horses were when they spoke to foals- Blaze believed in treating the next generation just as well as you would treat a king or queen. After all, you could never tell what a foal might become when they grew up.

Radience
In Fate's Hands
The soft wind rustled leaves nearby, and her short tresses fluttered slightly. Her purple-blue chasms searched around hopefully, and yet she saw no one. Her hope faded slightly at the scene of no equines. She had been sure some would've had to be here...right?...Well apparantly not. But she still held on tight. Because that was the only thing she could do, to stay alive. If she let go, then there would be no chance of seeing the sun tomarrow...Or today, either one. Maybe these were her last hours. Maybe she wouldn't see the moon again. Both were likely. But only fate knew that, and so only fate would decide. There would be nothing she could do. it was whatever life wanted her to have....
Even though she was young her form was striking. She had a natrually arched neck, and her grace was apparent. And yet she didn't feel so beautiful. I mean really, It's hard too when your dehydrated and starving. But she was still hopeful for the future. And suddenly her hope was proved when kind, gentle lyrics of a stag entered her small auds. The lovely little filly turned her purple blue optics to the speaker, and listened to what he had said. A small smirk formed across her maw even though it was hard to be content. The smirk was strained but the smile was still breathtaking even at this young age in this state.
I'm not so sure it's a very lovely day sir. It hasn't been very kind to me yet. And I have no other place to be.
Muscles in her deliciate neck strained painfully to make eye contact with the stag. The filly's lyrics hung in the air peacefully with amusement. Her lyrics were soft, and yet bold, and very comfortable even though this stag was the first equine she had seen in a while now. And yet her words were soothing, and ringing. The words had a truly gorgeous tone. And the filly's voice was so amazing that it seemed that the voice belonged to that of an angel. Even though she was just a filly. She gave a small melodic laugh, and a twinkle sparked in her chasms even in her state of health...
What May I ask, is your name sir?
The bold filly asked, her extraordinary voice still ringing in the air. Her short tresses wavered again as another breeze floted through, and another soft smile was placed upon the filly's maw. She shouldn't trust the stag yet, she knew, and she didn't trust him yet. And yet she felt as if he would no be one to hurt her...

Blaze smiled. This filly was certainly unlike any he had met before, bold and daring, and yet she seemed so wise and polite for such a young equine. But at her words, something went out. It hasn't been very kind to me yet and I have no other place to be. What had happened to this poor filly? A flicker of concern lit in his deep brown optics and he smiled down at the filly, his voice gentle and honest.
My name is Golden Blaze, but you can call me Blaze.
He stopped, letting the words sink in and considered how to reply to her first lexis. He wanted to help her, but she didn't seem to trust him yet he didn't want to intrude.
I sincerely hope that today gets better for you... and if you would like help with anything I would be honored to be of assistance.

Radience
Hardly have I lived
Radiance pricked her small gentle auds to stallion’s calm, honest, and soothing voice and she smiled warmly.
It certainly fits you, For you certinaly illuminate, as a blaze of golden sun should. I believe I am named Radiance, for that was the last whisper I heard from my mother at the brink of dawn.
A soft laugh escaped Radiance as Blaze spoke of how he hoped her day would get better, and for one pure moment she forgot the weak state she was in—until her laughing turned swiftly into a series of coughs. She shook her head lightly, and for a few moments she felt dizzy again, but she tried to collect herself, as she listened to his words. A sad expression crossed radiance’s soft maw, as she thought over the response. And finally she spoke, raising her optics to meet his.
I do not know what I need assistance with, for surely there is no reason, by tomorrow, I shall probably have breathed my last breath. And--…
A single tear flew from her optic staining her cheek with it’s watery trail, and she looked so helpless as she said her voice now minorly hoarse I don’t want to die Blaze. For I have hardly lived.

As the filly spoke, her words so honest and tender, Blaze felt a tugging at his heart and found that his eyes were growing hot with undeveloped tears. Forcing himself to look away for a second till the tears dried, Blaze turned back towards the filly and gazed deep into her honest and beautiful violet lanterns.
Radiance...
The name was sweet on his tongue, hopeful and honest and so rare and beautiful, he felt an inexplicable urge to protect her from anything life might throw in her path.
Thank you very much for that compliment, I have never been more touched.
It was true, he realized, and in more ways than one this lost little filly was reaching out to the depths of his heart, so long buried. It was true, Rose and Whisper and Shadow and Aurora all touched his heart and made it leap with joy, but there was something so different about Radiance.
And Radiance- I don't want you to die either. Nothing so young should die so soon and I promise you that if I can help it, you will not breath your last breath for many, many years.
Blaze gazed deep into her orbs, hoping that it didn't sound mocking, hoping that it didn't sound to concerned and nosy, hoping that she would realize that all he was trying to say was that he wanted to help her, he would give anything to ensure that this beautiful, delicate butterfly of a filly didn't die, that she wouldn't be a beauty flitting briefly in and out of this world. She was so unlike anything Blaze had ever known before, so honest and true and beautiful and more ways than one.

Radience
I don't want to die
[glow=red,2,300]But…How can you prevent that?
Another tear rolled down the filly’s cheek as she spoke softly.
If it is meant to can’t we not interfere? What if fate has already decided to bring death’s toll upon me in the next hour? What then?
Her deep violet orbs shone with tears as she watched Blaze sadly.
I have no home, no mother, no family, I’m dehydrated, starving, and weak. I don’t now how to fix any of that, and Maybe I’m meant to die. Maybe Fate wants to kill me right here and right now, What can I do Blaze?
She gazed up at him, tears now continuously flowing down her cheeks and dropping lightly to the earth.
I trust you, but What can I do?...It’s hopeless…I realize that now…
Radiance stumbled slightly, and when she tried to steady herself, she tripped on a rock, and her legs buckled in. She made a heaving effort to get up, but halfway there her legs buckled again, and a soft gasp came from her before she landed back on the ground and buried her small tiara in between her legs in her pelt. A soft huffing came from her as she cried, replaying what had happened, and finally she raised her tiara once more, her cheeks tear stained, and her neck strained in pain… What can I do?

As the filly spoke, something pulled even harder at Blaze's heart, something sweet and gentle but something that gave a pang. Watching her tear stained violet lanterns, Blaze had to fight the urge to go up and nuzzle the little form, give her all the comfort he possibly could. Suddenly, as she fell to the ground, Blaze sprang into action, and nudged her neck with his nose, using all his strength to help her back to her feet.
Oh, Radiance. You can do everything. You can fight with all your worth, just like you've done before. You're strong, Radiance, stronger than you think.
Gazing deep into her orbs, Blaze knew that he could help her, he could keep her safe, he could raise her well, but how could he ask her now, when they had met so soon? What if he scared her, or made her angry because he had been too forward, too soon to ask? But as he watched her, so small and vulnerable and so beautiful and sweet and rare, he couldn't help speaking in a soft, gentle tone, gazing deep into her orbs.
And Radiance... this is only an offer, but if you would like, you could come home with me to my land, the grassy plains. I have four mares there, Rose, her daughter Aurora, Shadow, and Whisper. They are all very kind and loving... and if you came with me I would protect you from anything that might come your way. It's your choice though- I'm sure could survive on your own too.
OOC- Eeek! My muse just ran away XP *runs desperately after muse* [/color][/blockquote]

Radience
Not My last Breath
[glow=red,2,300]Radiance managed to find her way back to her legs with Blaze’s help, and she shook some of her tears away gently, and raised her tear stained optics to meet his, kind, gentle, and comforting ones. And as he spoke, another tearflowed down her cheek. Stronger then I think? Everything? How can I possibly be able to fight with all my worth in this state? She thought sadly but suddenly as she looked over her memories once more something inside of her flickered. And that flicker made the world seem just a little better. At Blaze’s next words Radiance felt some of the fire return to her heart, warming her up, and suddenly she didn’t feel as cold, helpless, and weak. And as she looked up into Blaze’s optics she saw hope. A eternal fire of hope. And So as Radiance’s tears halted, so did her sureness of death.
You-…you would take me into your home?...really?...
Awe and hope was in her voice as Radiance spoke. Would he really do that…she didn’t think he was lying…but still…she stood a little taller and there was a flicker in her violet optics. A flicker of hope. Absolute hope…

Blaze smiled, a wide, sweet, honest smile as he looked down at the little filly, hope plain in her violet lanterns. As the tears dried on her cheeks and left her orbs dry and free of sorrow, and the certainty of death left her voice as she spoke, her voice so delicate and beautiful, like a gentle spring breeze sweeping through the meadows. Of course he would take her in, help her, protect her from everything, of course he would! With shining chocolate opticals, the stag looked at the filly with nothing but honesty and sincerity. When he opened his mouth, the lyrics which came were all true and gentle and real.
Of course, Radiance. I would be honored to have you living in my home with me.
He watched the little filly with something in his heart that was completely new, a feeling which felt like the love he had felt many times before but it was so different... this wasn't the same kind of love that Blaze loved Rose and Whisper and Shadow with, a romantic kind of love, it was more the love that Blaze would feel for a daughter, and yet Radiance seemed almost more than a daughter, because he knew that had she been older Blaze would love her just like Rose and Whisper and Shadow... why was it all so complicated?
But as he watched the cremello filly, so rare and beautiful with those wide, tear stained violet eyes, that gentle summer breeze of a voice, so strong and honest and wonderful, if only she knew what she really was! Any stag with a right mind would be honored beyond belief to have such a fae in his herd, in his heart, and Blaze was just that way. As he watched the filly, Blaze realized that it didn't matter how he loved her, all that mattered was that he did, and Blaze would protect Radiance with his life, with all he had, and if she wanted to join his herd then he would be overjoyed and if not so be it, he would protect her all the same.

Radiance
A whole new world
A whole new world A dazzling place I never knew But When I’m way up here, It’s crystal clear That now I’m in a whole new world with you.
[glow=red,1,600]Radiance Stared up at Blaze with pure hope, gratitude and love. For he was her savior. Certianly a Blaze of hope, and more. Her violet chasms filled with tears of awe. She was going to live. And she would be safe, loved and protected. ‘Twas more then she had ever expected, and her dreams were coming true, because she would now be able to make a difference in the future. She could be who ever she wanted to be, and she would be someone no doubt. As a tear slipped from the filly she felt a dazzling smile spread across her maw, and she walked forward with a renewed strength it seemed, and she nuzzled Blaze sofltly. As she raised her small and fragile tiara again, and as she gazed back up at Blaze she said, with a new spark of fire in her voice
Thank You Blaze…thank you from the bottom of my heart and beyond. You are truly a Blaze of Hope, and my idol…Thank you…
She said, her voice ringing with gratitude and truth. And for the first time since she was first born, she could see the light in her future. The real light. Not just a dream….Reality. At this very realization, radiance’s smile broke out into a fluid and radiant smile as she for the first time noticed the true beauty of the dawn, and as she felt her gaze pulled to the purples and pinks and oranges of the skies, she felt like she had a purpose, something to look forward too, something to dream of, and somewhere out there, there was a whole new word to explore. A genuine smile it upon Blaze's maw, as light and beautiful as a butterfly but not nearly as fleeting. Laughter danced in those deep, fathomless coffee opticals gazing deep into the violet depths of the filly before him. He watched the tear sliding gentle from them and something within his stirred, something sweet and fragile, rare and beautiful... something rather like Radiance herself. She was so wonderful and sweet and rare- he'd never seen anything like her and she touched the depths of his heart with every word she spoke, every move she made, every smile which touched her lips and every tear which fell, salty and sparkling from those beautiful violet chasms, so full of life and love and hope and beauty, so full of wishes and butterfly's wings, spring bouquets and first snowfalls. Full of cries of laughter, newborn foals, springs first flower, the cry of a robin through the silence. Everything beautiful and delicate and strangely haunting as it reached into the bottom of your heart and pulled you towards it, made up of everything rare and wonderful and perfect and fragile, sweet as honey and glowing bright as the sun, strong as steel and yet delicate as a fairy's wing. Oh, she was perfect and quaint and rare and wonderful. How could he not be honored to have her in his herd? How could he not dream of her smile and wish that she wouldn't be afraid, how could he not protect her from everything, give his life for her, how could he not love her with all his worth? Reaching out a velvet muzzle, he touched her neck gently, breathing in her sweet scent of waterfalls and sunrises and daisies in a meadow. Blaze moved his nose slowly across her neck, a sweet and gentle nuzzle, and he tried so hard, put everything he had into trying not to hurt her because if he had hurt her it would kill him surely. If anything would hurt her he would die, because now her pain was his and he had to protect her. he replied to her words, her words so sweet and quaint and fragile with pure adoration, love, so gentle and concerned and ready to die for this filly. He spoke, hoping that she would hear him and hoping that she would know the love which danced in his heart like a golden butterfly, the song of a bird, hoping that she would know everything he wanted her to.Radiance, I should be thanking you. You've given me a new purpose, you're so rare and beautiful and sweet. I don't know how to say it, but I know that I love you, Radiance. I know that much.
His words, so gentle and sweet blended with the soft spring breeze which swept across the land, ruffling his dark ebon banners and Radiance's barely grown ivory tassels, soft and gentle as fresh sprouts of grass sticking through loose brown soil and growing up to be strong and beautiful and amazing in every way, so simple and yet so complex, so small and yet striking and beautiful beyond belief. Radiance was convinced that Blaze was giving her a whole new world, a dawning hope, letting her wishes come true and saving her life. He was her idol and her savior... but if only she knew! The little cremello filly with the strange violet-blue eyes was a new dawn for blaze, an opening window, a rising sun, a whole new world. She was saving his life, giving him even more to live for, bringing something light and sparkling and wonderful into his life. Even as Aurora, grown older was deciding that soon she would have to leave and something pure and wonderful was soon to leave Blaze's life, remaining only in his heart, something just as wonderful was making an entrance. He stepped back, reluctantly removed his nose from her neck, taking one last whiff of her wonderful scent. Let their gazes lock and hold, let their hearts hold together and merge into one, let her know how much he loved her. He opened his maw again, tasting the sweet atmosphere of spring and new hope, and let the words flow, gentle, real, and utterly honest.
Another thing, Radiance. I would be honored beyond belief if... if... you would consider yourself my daughter?
Of course she would be more than his daughter, she would be his love and his daughter, she would be everything he had ever dreamed of and would ever dream of. She would be the rising sun, everything she already was and more. She had showed him the way, showed him her love and her beauty. She was brave and determined to survive, but she needed him as much as he needed her. He was doing fine before Radiance, so he thought- but when he really thought about it, what would have happened to him after Aurora left, with Shadow gone, two shining stars gone from his heart, what would he do without one shining just as bright, if not brighter to replace them? What would he do without everlasting love, something rare and fleeting and wonderful, what would he do without Radiance?

Radiance
Thank You
[glow=red,2,300]Radiance watched Blaze with absolute gratitude. Her violet chasms filled with tears of amazement that she, had given his something as well. How? What had she done for him? He had done everything for her, but How had she given him a new purpose? It didn’t truly matter though, it simply mattered that she was going to live in a loving home with Blaze. Blaze…he was like a father to her even though she knew that she was not his daughter by birth. She loved him as a savior and more, and she would never be able to express her gratitude in mere words. As a breeze drifted through Radience couldn’t help but to close her violet chasms and raise her small, yet graceful tiara to the sky and give out a soft, melodic laugh. When she opened her chasms again, they were sparkeling with sweet, innocent, pure, and loving laughter. A smile played sparklingly across her soft maw, and her short ivory tassels wavered slightly in the breeze. Then, just when Radience wouldn’t have believed that life could be more perfect, blaze spoke again, this time asking her to be his daughter. Astonishment vibrated through the filly’s bodice as she turned to Blaze, her deep, violet chasms swimming with emotions, and truth as she spoke with a new fire and thanks in her tonation.
I can not imagine a inquiry as meaningful to me as that one Blaze. And it is I who would be absolutely honored beyond belief, if you would gift me the treasure of being your daughter…Thank you…
Love shown clear and true in the graceful filly’s orbs as she gazed up at Blaze—her father, and she couldn’t help but let a few tears of joy slip out as she watched him. Though to lighten the mood she suddenly jumped back and gave a playful buck of happiness, and as she galloped around Blaze a few times before finally flopping down in front of him with a giggle. As she law silent for as few moments on the soil she suddenly gave a sigh. So much had happened today, it was almost too much to grasp. And yet it was simple and clear—she had a whole new future ahead of her, and no matter what, she was going to live her life to the absolute fullest.
