Silver Spirit trotted through the field, her two-step giving her a rhythmic beat , her mind wondering and her silver talons leaving curved shapes in the soft mud behind her. Her cream banner was flying high and it was like a flag trailing behind her dappled hull. her ebon nostrils were flaring, she was having a struggle with the humidity to catch her breath, but she kept her two step. The warm afternoon sun was glinting off her shinny coat and causing a patch of brighter sun to hit the lime grasses as she flew past them. The scent of the other horses that were accompanying her in the clearing were masked by the sweet smelling aroma of the various wildflowers that were spread around the lushes meadow in a irregular pattern.
Silver snorted and tossed her bald crown into the golden sun, the light making the specks of ashen gray in her otherwise charcoal orbs stand out.She slowed her two step to a walk, her muscles were rippling under her peppery coat. She let her harks stand up and raised her dome. The sooty color of her pillars was blending in with the tall grass, making her look like she was floating over the grasses like walking on water. She was curious as to why she was in this Field, the other equines were gloomy and hopeful while she was romping around and having a grand old time. She let that detail of the terrain and its accompanies leave her head.
Silver was gazing at the tall oak trees that were on the out-skirts of the meadow when she felt a wave of tension, fear, excitement, and hope nearly barrel her over. Turning on her hind right hoof she saw a horse approaching, the horse had authority over the other horses and it clearly showed.

It was quiet wihin the forested lands. The once joyfull lands of mares and fillies now seemed empty to the stag. His call heard loud and clear over his home but none answered. He picked up a powerful yet collected canter away from his home to take some time away and perhaps bring home another mare to protect and love.
The sun was high in the sky making it about noon when it seemed the hottest. His sleek ebony coat gleaming as it dampened ever so slightly from the the exercise. His nostrils were flared as he moved into a two beat gait and then came to a walk. His ears pricked forward and his breathing slowed back down to normal as his dark orbs looked over the claiming grounds until his eyes laid upon a dappled fae that stood alone. He moved down the hill, his thick mane swaying along his neck and down upon his shoulder and his tail flicking everyonce in a while to hit an annoying fly that lands upon his pelt. He walked upon the mare but still kept his distance, his frame like that much of the friesian but he still showed the andalusian blood that flowed through him from his father. Finally he came to a hault still eyeing the beautiful fae and then he spoke. Hello, I am Zodiac. May I know what your name is? His voice was strong yet smooth. He didn't try to act strong through his voice for actions spoke louder then words most of the time.

Silver Spirit watched intently as a midnight black stallion approached her. His sleek coat was shinning in the mid day sun, and it was covered with droplets of sweat from his canter that he approached the clearing with. His harks were forward and he was alert in his posture. The studs mane was swaying on his beck and shoulder, while his tassel was busily keeping away flies once they landed upon his inky coat. The stallion stopped a length away from Silver, his frame hintend that he was a Frisian, but something else Silver could not uncover was in his bloodline. She let her ashen forelock fall to her forehead and the flies that were settling on her hindquarters were sent flying off by a ripple of her gleaming coat. The stud opened his kissings and spoke in a strong, flowing voice.
"Hello, I am Zodiac. May I know what your name is?"
Silver was curious as to why the stud approached her, many other beautiful vixens were in the large meadow. She pushed that thought aside for another time and let her maw open and her sweet velvety, almost musical voice reply to the large stallion.
"Hello, I am Silver Spirit"
After her short reply Spirit let her silver talons and dark pillars carry her towards Zodiac, she had to raise her white crown to watch him, but that didn't bother her. She was holding back the urge to ask if Zodiac had a herd, with a mate and if he owned land. She was desperate for a protector though so she bit her pink tongue and waited with limited patience for his reply. She raised her hoof and let it fall with a loud 'thump' in hopes that he would understand her impatiences.

The ebony colored stallion stood quite calmly and listened to her reply. Her name suited her from what he could see. Her grey dappled body gleamed in the warm afternoon sun much like that of silver. Her tail flowed down and almost touched the ground and he watched the flies move off her body as her muscles rippled at their touch. She had the build much like that his father which ment she had andalusian blood running in her veins but in the wild much more could also be running within those veins.
As she moved closer Zodiac looked into her deep charcoal eyes to see how the sun hit them to show beautiful silver speaks gleaming within her orbs. She stomped her foot and he knew that she wasn't much of a patient mare but then again he wasn't always a patient stallion. Curiousity flowed through her and she made it quite obvious and so he spoke once more though he knew he didn't speak the words she wanted to hear.
Silver Spirit, thats a beautiful name. So tell me what it is that your looking for here?
All mares were looking for the same thing when they came to the claiming grouns so it was a stupid question to ask. But it opened a door to hear Silver Spirit speak.

Silver was attempting to get past the mask on his face and discover what his true thoughts were, but she failed in her attempt. She gazed into his deep eyes and could see noting of his feelings, but she held the gaze.
"Silver Spirit, thats a beautiful name. So tell me what it is that your looking for here?"
Silver was disappointed, he had not expressed anything about himself, which Silver was sure he could see that she was impatient to know. Despite his reply Silver held the gaze she had, looking into his dark orbs, but never letting hers show the burning curiosity that was hidden only to well. She let her rims open once more and her sweet, musical voice filled the air with her reply.
" Thank you, as is yours. I am here because I chose to be here, I did so because I wanted to find a home and a herd that would provide me friendship, why, do you have something to offer to me?"
Silver had spoken truth, but she wanted more than friendship from the herd. She then let the breeze cool off her bodice and she descended from the stallion, letting her gaze drop and her crown fall to a more compturable and suitable position.

Zodiac had held his gaze with hers. Though she was searching for something he was simply just looking into her eyes. His ears listened to her soft lyrics and he knew that she was looking not only for a home and friends but perhaps love as well. He already had a lead that he loved very much but he shared his love with his mares. Three mares call their home with him and perhaps she could as well but he would let her know and make the choice on her own.
I have a lovely home deep within the forest by the waterfalls where I call one my lead and there are two other mares that reside with me. One strong minded and two that are sort of shy and to themselves, and then two fillies that run and play within the lands.
He described his home yes he was quiet happy with how it was and he loved everyone dearly and would risk his own life to protect them all. He worried that it would make Silver Spirit turn away but he wouldn't lie to her to make her come with him. He had plenty of room in his heart for another and she would get just as much attention as any of the others.

Silver waited, the stares of the other equines waiting to be claimed boring into her silver coat. She was away of them watching her every movement, but she tried her hardest to ignore them. When she asked if he had an offer, his dark orbs they showed a flicker of happiness and love, but his feelings were for something else, not her. So when he spoke, his voice seemed crackled and broken even though she knew it was not him, it was her.
"I have a lovely home deep within the forest by the waterfalls where I call one my lead and there are two other mares that reside with me. One strong minded and two that are sort of shy and to themselves, and then two fillies that run and play within the lands."
His home sounded enjoyable and very inviting to Silver as she had never settled down before, but she lost hope when he spoke of a lead mare and two other mares and foals. Her brain began to race as she took in what Zodiac had said, if two mares were shy and and not very strong minded then she could easily gain his love over them, the leaders would be troublesome. She was strong headed as was Silver, possibly they could become friends and Zodiac would learn to love them equally. Silver took a few minutes to work out some ideas in her mind before she replied in her sweet voice, but this time it sounded less like music and more boring and flat.
"I would enjoy being a part of your herd, but before I completely agree I would like to make sure I have the option to leave it as I wish, with no consent and begin followed."
Silver was happy with her clever idea, she could test the other mare and see if she liked living at his home, but if she did not she could come back to the claiming grounds and try again.
ooc: Sorry I didn't come back, a storm had been there and my power went out.

Zodiac had thought he would make the dappled mare turn and leave when he talked about having other mares and foals as well, even if one was not really his he still loved her as if she was his own. Then Silver Spirit spoke and a spark had lit within him for he hadn't scared her away. Perhaps her and Lace would get along but they could just as well butt heads and never get along as well. Zodiac knew that all mares didn't get along and you couldn't force them to so he had to agree with her words. I would never force you to stay. You would be allowed to leave if you ever wished to. Forcing a mare to stay with you only caused problems and you could never trust them. Silver would never be happy with him if he forced her to stay within his home if her and Lace didn't get along. And Lace would probably leave as well if he forced any of his mares to stay or do as he wanted.

Silver Spirit [/size] The once cool breeze had picked up, a stronger wind was now ragging through the grassy meadow. Silvers mane was whipping around in the wind, it was making loud snaps when it hit itself. She wanted to focus on Zodiac and what he was saying, but she could already guess what his reply would be. She let her once high head fall down so that she could only see the grasses below her and the tips of Zodiacs hooves. Her harks that were once pricked forward and alert were now at their regular position, she was un-alert and not ready for a conversation. Zodiac spoke, but it was harder to hear his flowing voice. It could have been the fact that the howling wind was blocking it out, or possibly that her mind was a recluse from the outside world as she was thinking and catching his reply, but not comprehending it.
"I would never force you to stay. You would be allowed to leave if you ever wished to."
Silver took a minute, but she raised her crown, and actually watched and listened to the world around her. The other equines in the field were huddled together in spite of the storm, and Zodiac was looking a grand as ever. He was standing alone and his appearance was fierce and large compared to the rest of the surrounding landscape. His words sunk in and a feeling of relief swept over her, she would get to try her plan, and try she would.
This time when she spoke her voice was once again musical and as sweet as honey.
"Thank you for the option, but now we should be off as I believe there is a frightening storm brewing."
She loosened her locked joints and started with a trot in the direction that Zodiac had come in, not waiting for his reply, only for him to catch up and show her the way.

Zodiac watched as Silver Spirit lowered her dial, he didn't want to take her to his home if she wasn't going to be happy. Yes he could love all his mares but perhaps she was looking for more, perhaps the lead position which he couldn't off her. She wasn't really listening to his words and he turned his dial to something else. The clouds were begining to gather and were getting darker. A storm was well on its way and then Zodiac turned back to Silver Spirit as she spoke. There was no time for a reply as she picked up a trot in the direction of his home. And he turned around and picked up a canter to catch up with her. His strides were short as he was in no rush but he moved into a trot once he was by her side. He then led the way to Hidden Falls.
