Name: Burning Reflections
Age: 4
Gender:Mare
Breed: Pure Arabian
Height: 15.3
Color: Strawberry Roan
markings: a blaze, a scar on her leg, and a burn on her flank
Secret Word: Arrowhorse
History: She was born captive. Her mother was a sweet, kind mare and her father was a champion. She was of fine blood. But, on the night of her birth there was a fire. Her mother was rushed out of the stall by a human, but reflection was left behind. Wood fell all around her, horses screamed, fire burned, sweat fell from her neck. She ran frantically trying to get out, she finally saw the door. She rushed to it but before she could reach it the barn completely collasped and everything went black. 2 weeks later she awoke to still be stuck under the wood. She struggled to be freed, but nothing would work. For three months she laid there; starving, and dying. One day a stallion came along he saw the poor filly and took pity on her. He freed her from the wood and since she was so limp he carried her to his terra where he nourished her and saved her from a sad death. She spent two years with him, and he treated he like his own daughter. She grew very close to him. One day humans came into the terra, she didn’t notice a few sneaking up on her from behind and they tried to rope her, before they could though, the stallion blocked the ropes and reared up to protect her. A shot ran out and the stallion fell to the ground, his lifeless body lay still. She reared in horror. She ran to cover. After a while of searching the humans departed. Once she was sure they were gone she walked to the stallions body. She nuzzled him, hoping that he would awaken, but he didn’t even stir. Her heart was broken. Twice he had saved her life now. But now she could never repay him. She let out one last heart filled cry before slowly walking away. A month after she turned 3 another stallion came along, he claimed her for his herd and dragged her off. She spent 3 months with the stallion, he wasn’t bad, but he wasn’t great either. Half of the time he was a commanding, angered, horrible stallion, and the other half he was a understanding, mild tempered, watchful stallion, it was very confusing to her. She made friends with a newborn colt and watched over him a lot. Then there was a hurricane, it was huge. During the eye of the storm the colt wandered out thinking it was over, and she ran after it trying to warn him, but then the storm started up again and he was swept into the raging river. His cries rang out and she tried to save him but she slipped on the bank and she too was swept into the river. They were both swept over a waterfall, and a few hours later she awoke. As she looked around her the first thing she saw was the colt’s lifeless body she started towards it, but was instantly pulled back when she noticed the raging fire. She was burned back with memories of her first few months, and she ran. She ran as far and as hard as she could from the fire. 7 months later the feeling was only left vauguly. She wandered and here she is now.
Personality: Timid around stallions due to experience, terrified of fire, scared of hurricanes, burned by memories, sweet, loving, trusting, terrified of humans, strong (mentally), knows how to survive, reflective of her past, spirited.
